So I played a game last night and want to see what you guys say about this.
So 'jink' gives you a 5+ cover save So I move 2" and get said save.
Then Disruption pod states that it add's +1 to cover save. Save is at 4+ now
Basically I played in 4ed and i'm new to 6ed, Is it possible for the skimmer to move over my disembarked troops during the shooting? With the flat out move or what not? and would that bring the save to 3+?
Additionally if it stays behind the unit would the unit count as obscuring the tank/transports and make the save another 3+?
Or is there a way to push it even further to 2+?

But does moving flat out not bring the jink save to 4+?

i know moving flat out = 12" in my movement turn But If i move 6" in my turn then an addition 6" instead of shooting would that not mean the jink is now a 4+ (because of it no being classified as flat out?) and with disruption pod a 3+ cover save? (sorry if i sound redundant)

Yes if you flat out with a skimmer then your cover with a disruption pod is 3+.

Jink saves that a model that has moved with this special rule gets a 5+ cover save.
So the Tau vehicle can move up to 12" and count as moving and get a 5+ cover save.
Flat out saves that a vehicle can forgo shooting to move up to an additional 6" ,and Jink says that a model that moves flat out gets a 4+ cover save instead.
Disruption Pod adds +1 to cover save.
So if he moved : he'd get a 4+ cover (5+ for moving, and +1 for Disruption Pods)
If he moved Flat Out in shooting: he'd get a 3+ cover (4+ for moving and moving flat-out, and +1 for Disruption Pods)

Sounds like you were confusing 5th ed Flat Out (which was a speed of movement in the movement phase) with 6th d Flat Out (which is a second move done in the Shooting phase).

With Flatout moves and Dpods, Devilfish are still one of the hardest to hit things in the game. Its just a shame that they still cost 80 points.
