Been looking hard at the tau vehicles and all possible uses and I have a couple things I would like to confirm with others before I try something in a game:

1-assuming I have a point defense relay, are you allowed overwatch on death or glory attacks taken when you tankshock an enemy? I think the answer is no, but I'm not 100% sure and would like a yea or nay.

2-does a fletchette discharger activate on death or glory attacks taken when I tankshock an enemy unit? Same as last, don't think so, but not sure.

One other thing confuses me. The point defense relay allows attached drones to fire overwatch, but the rules in the beginning say that, with stated exceptions, drones are treated like embarked passengers in fire points, which according to the BRB, can already fire overwatch. What am I missing here?

Death or Glory are not assaults. They are either a close combat attack or a shooting attack. Assuming similar wording on Fletchette Dischargers as last edition (and based on wording for the first question) they both require the enemy unit to charge.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Okay thanks for confirming those two for me.

I think they were trying to be clear that you know you're allowed to overwatch with drones. Mostly because drones attached to a vehicle don't explicitly have the 'Supporting Fire' rule.

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen
