Hello there,

I would like to ask a matter that came up on a local tournament,
When a unit of chosen are deployed they are rolling on the eye of the gods table.
If the warshrine is inside the deployment already can the chosen roll with 4d6 instead of 3d6?
I will remind you that the warshrine says "models that roll for eye of the gods" and not units.
I imagine that if the chosen champion rolls he will roll still with 3d6 and not 4d6 just because the chosen rulling says that chosen UNIT rolls on 3d6 on the deployment.

Thank you in advance

Can't remember off the top of my head whether the aarshrine rule says 3d6 or an extre d6, but I think it is the former. I would then say that chosen are unaffected.

IIRC, one rule says roll on 3D6, and another says roll an extra D6.
Yes, they do both work together.
It's decent, but the warshrine is kind of expensive, and the extra D6 only helps a little.

wrt the OPs point on the "Not rolling for UNITS, only Individuals", the chosen entry lists them as the exception and that their "unit" roll is treated exactly like any other (and the EoTG chart specifies what happens regarding chosen rolls)

Ok I'm back with the army book, "If a friendly model is within 12'' of one or more chaos warshrines when he rolls on the eye of the gods table he rolls an additional d6 and discards a single dice of his chosing"
that was for the warshrine entry
and the chosen
"...each unit of chosen must roll 3d6, discard a single dice of your chosing and consult the eye of the gods table.."
The one ruling says models, the other unit. So its kinda weird if when they are deploying if they are to roll with 4 or 3 d6 instead+what happens if the chosen champion get a eye of the gods roll when he kills a character in a challenge? Does he roll on 4 or 3 d6? He is a model not a unit now...

T.O.

The Rewards of Chaos rule has no effect on the champions later rolls for EoTG, its a specific one-time thing that applies to the whole unit unless you roll a 2 or 12.

The Favor of the Ruinous Powers rule states that it applies to any friendly model rolling on the EoTG table... Chosen roll on the EoTG table before the game begins... The rule doesn't specifically say it can only apply to one model, just if a model is rolling. Here you have many models rolling once and applying the same result to all of them, there is nothing prohibiting this.

So, yeah, if you deploy a chosen unit within 12" of a warshrine you can roll 4d6 for its Rewards of Chaos and discard two dice of your choice. Unless GW decides to FAQ otherwise.

Please put this on your sig if you know someone, work for someone or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. Stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a sufferer right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help. But we can raise awareness.... 93% won't copy and paste this because they don't know how to copy and paste

I see that's good you might want to go for mark of tzeentch hand weapon n shield and a +1ward save on the EoTG table, that's gonna be really good tanking/locking units in the melee! On the other hand, the warshrines seems a bit over priced for just this combo...

Against most opponents, I'd rather have mark of nurgle.
-1 to be hit with Either T5 or WS7 are both totally awesome.
WS7 makes ogres cry. Yeah, you hit my rank and file on 6+.
