Doing a small friendly battle against a friend this week, both going to pick lists from the new Tau codex (will be interesting to see how different our lists are)

How does this look?

Trade the marker drone on the ethereal for another firesight marksman as its a much better source of markerlight. Maybe break the firewarrior teams up into 7,7,8 for more tactical options (Ld won't matter since I assume the ethereal will be near all of them for the entire game)? Also, if you do keep a drone on the ethereal maybe make it a shield drone to hopefully avoid giving your opponent two victory points for sniping him with a commander with advanced targeting.

I hadn't thought of advanced targeting. What advantage would having a shield drone over using look out, sir on a normal Fire Warrior (well obviously an invulnerable save)? I may take the extra marksman and I like the extra squad, they'll all be sitting back near the Ethereal.

The advantage is not much more than the invulnerable, though it certainly would be nice to attempt a 4+ invuln after passing the Look Out Sir rather than simply losing a fire warrior. Another benefit is that if they fail the 5+ precision shot with say a fusion blaster or a PR and the drone is closest then it doesn't just get gib'd like a FW would. Other hand, you may like having more dakka with another warrior.
