so apparently the general consensus is that an entire unit of grey knights with halberds is a waste of points so I was wondering what you all thought about converting the halberds to swords.
Do you think it would be that big of a deal using all of the extra swords you get in a pagk box to do it?
This would mean some of the knights would be using 2 handed swords in one hand and some would be using the falchions as a single sword as well.

Not if you do it well. Which means probably shortening the hilts of the two-handers - and falchions should be fine. They are wielded one handed anyway. It's still a sword.

I converted some of my halberds to swords (metal GK) by removing halberd, gauntlet and all, and replacing them with other gauntleted hands with swords.

After I did them, and played maybe 5 games with them, I lost interest in playing the game completely and now they sit, locked in my shed of shame.

i was thinking the same thing, replacing entire hands.
