First time since coming back to the hobby about 3 years ago i actually have a finished unit to show off... They might only be *speedpainted* to get it onto the table top, but hey they are guard, Im not spending hours on every model just for them to be removed a squad at a time XD

Paints: Vallejo/GW
Process:
Basecoat White spray
Airbrush Khaki
Armour Cayman (catachan) green
boots/belts etc Addeptus battlegrey
Eagles heavy bluegrey (astronomican)
Skin Tallarn Flesh
Wash (entire model) in Umber shade wash (DM/Agrax earthshade)

C&C welcome but bear in mind they aren't meant to be amazing...

Those look very good.

only CC for now is that the boots and the ground color are the same and looks a bit wonky. i think it would be better to make them back or dark leather brown to dis join them from the base.

later on you can highlight/detail (eyes) the models and it should look very good for rank a file.

Very nice.

Agree with Desubot though. The boots and the matching base don`t really fit

I actually disagree. The boots look like they're covered in the dirt and dust of the planet. If you look closely, you can see them blending from grey to green near the tops.

Well done!

Pretty impressive for speed painting. Time per model?

Yeah the boots look like they're dusted, which is great. I vote for not changing their colour. These look awesome for speedpainting btw, real nice job.

Thanks for the comments
I think the boots look as though they are covered in dirt and stuff too, the small plates on the front are painted in the green i used on the armour plates.
No idea on time per model as i wasnt really counting.
When i say speed painted i mean in a style of speedpainting (base colours +wash), where i wasnt paying too much attention to detail but as it was my first unit of guard i was still getting used to painting them, will time it on my next unit and see just how quick they can be done. especially as im still looking at a pile of about 100 men and 15 weapons teams that need painting up :S

EDIT: stuck the pic in GIMP and autochanged the whitelevel. should make it easier to see the detail on them.
