I had this Ork Warboss I got from BTP a while back and left the paint scheme on it. I'm now starting my own paint scheme and want to strip paint off the warboss.
I've searched the forums for a topic like this and came up short :( so: How do you strip paint from CERTAIN PARTS of the model?
I really like the paint job on, for example, the power klaw and customizations. I just want to repaint the armor/skin parts.

Could I just paint over it? Or is there a way to strip paint off these parts first?

Give it a good wash with warm water and simple green or alcohol (no scrubbing...in and out type washing...not soaking). It will remove the residue and oils that build up over time.

Paint over the existing paint. Assuming the paint is not glopped on that is.

You can remove paint in localized areas with an air eraser, q-tip and cleaner like alcohol or Simple Green, or using a soft abbrasive like a rubber polishing point. Provided the orignial paint was done with thin layers though...that may not be needed.
