I'm still PRETTY new to the game. I've been using this recently and have consistently beat my buddy who plays Trolls. I've been having a lot of fun with it but I just wanted to know what Dakka thinks, so here it is:

pStryker
-Charger

B13 Gun Mage Team
Sword Knights (10 men)
-Sword Knight UA
-Centurion
Field Mechaniks

Strangeways
Journeyman Warcaster
-Centurion

What I normally do: first turn I throw Arcane Shield on both Centurions (using Stryker and the Journeyman). The Centurions are pretty much key. I keep the Field Mechaniks close behind to keep them operational and have Sword Knights on either side to make my jacks difficult to engage with multiple enemies. Strangeways can jump in too to help with repair or he can give out his free focus to the jack marshaled Centurion. With ARM24 and pretty consistent health regeneration from the repairs, the Centurions tend to stick around and work amazingly with the Sword Knights. I also throw Blur onto the Sword Knights and usually cast Snipe on the Charger.

The shooty stuff normally finds some elevated terrain for me to shoot from. The B13 and the Charger I use almost exclusively to snipe out support units and they normally punch well above their weight. The Charger in particular has won some games for me with those 2 fully boosted shots per turn. Stryker normally runs the whole game feeding the Charger focus, and I pop his feat when I make contact for some crazy resilient heavy jacks.

Is this 'good'? Like I said, I'm still pretty new but this has been working pretty well for me in my group. Any suggestions for making it better are welcome.

Well the Arlan Power Boosting the centurion doesn't seem too good, since he can't do that if the Journeyman has allocated the centurion any focus, and that in itself is a problem since junior has to stay within 6" of the centurion, which leaves him very open to being killed off and your centurion going autonomous.

I like the sword knight centurion combo, makes good use of flank for the knights and drive: pronto for a relatively slow jack

I'd say drop the centurion for Ol Rowdy which should be put on stryker and keep junior free to AS whoever he needs to at the time. If you do that, then you can use arlan to power boost the centurion that is jack marshaled to the sword knights, as well as help disrupt things about to hit them.

All in all not a bad list i reckon, just needs a few tweaks to make it more efficient.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Actually I explicitly mentioned I would use Arlan to boost the marshaled Centurion, not the one attached to the Journeyman. Ol' Rowdy actually seems like a decent choice for focus efficiency, I might have to try him out. He doesn't jive as well with the sword knights or get that juicy ARM24 with arcane shield but everything else he can do might make up for that.

Outflanking

I second basically everything motyak said, and would like to add my 2 cents.

Ol' Rowdy is amazing, and I would strongly recommend running him on Stryker instead of that 2nd centurion. He also gets up to Arm 23 in his front arc- pretty good.

Also, I would suggest dropping the mechanics and charger for either a hunter or lancer, as you already have Strangeways to make repairs. A lancer allows Stryker to reach out a bit more with earthquake, while a hunter runs well with the journeyman, and puts nice holes in stuff.
