In the DE FAQ, it says "Reavers, Reaver Jetbikes: Ignore the third sentence."

The third sentence in that entry is, "Reaver jetbikes are so incredibly fast that they can move up to 36" when using turbo boost."

Now, normally, I would think this to mean that Reaver jetbikes can no longer turbo boost 36", however, they're still classified as unit type: Eldar Jetbikes. In the BRB, it gives specific rules for eldar jetbikes, one of which is being allowed to move 36" during turbo boost.

So, even if we removed the entry that stated the 36" move from the dex, RAW from the brb would still indicate that they were able to do so. I guess I just don't understand what the intent of that rewording was. Were they trying to take that turbo boost away from reavers, or were they just removing it because of redundancy with their unit type already conferring that ability?

There is NO SUCH THING as MORE ADVANCED in 40k!!! There are ONLY 2 LEVELS of RULES: Basic and Advanced. THE END. Stop saying "More Advanced". That is not a recognized thing in modern 40k!!!!

I believe it's just clarification as a redundant statement. However, GW true intent will remain a mystery!

It is redundant, as that rule is now in the rulebook for everyone

Seems weird that they would even bother to FAQ the removal of a rule for no other reason than it's listed elsewhere, but meh.

It's to bring anything that's now "core" rules to be clarified as such. In this case, it's more to clarify that all eldar jetbikes get this benefit...not just DE jetbikes.

I find it interesting that you are looking at other sources of rulings to support the allowance of something in your favor, ie the Turbo Boost. However, when confronted with extraneous rules for the ADL you choose to not look at other ruling sources to support something in your favor. I would like to know which way do you intend to pursue these issues? Is you only motive what benefits you the most?

I've stated nothing but facts in this thread, and nothing inflammatory. And in the previous thread, I listed ALL rules for the ruling in question. But this isn't the place to discuss that thread. Keep it where it belongs.

The problem in your post is that your quote is off. The third sentence in the Reaver Jetbikes entry actually says: "Lastly, Reaver jetbikes are so incredibly fast that they may move up to 36" when moving with Turbo Boosters."

With that sentence, one could argue that Reaver Jetbikes are able to move 36" in the movement phase [because of the old rules], in addition to turbo-boosting 36" in the shooting phase [because of the new rules]. That has been cleared up in the FAQ.

Meh, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find people who would agree that "moving with turbo boosters" does not equate to using the rules for turbo boosting. But I digress, if it was something that could cause such a ridiculous argument to be posited, I'm glad they removed it.
