I want to get into Trollbloods as a maybe 15-25 point army to start off and maybe move up to some more serious models. What would you guys suggest for 15-25 point trollblood army.

Well, the trollblood battlebox is generally considered on of the worse ones, with no Heavy and considering that Madraks feat isn't particularly useful in battlebox games. However, the Axer, Impaler and Madrak are all very useful models, and an Axer or Impaler (or both) will often find their way into most trollblood lists. You won't often find yourself needing the second impaler, but even discounting him the box is still good value.

I'll let someone else help you on the 15-25 point levels, as I'm not a troll player, but good luck anyway

I too am on my way to starting trollbloods and have the same thoughts. I met up with a press ganger yesterday and he let me use his trollbloods starter to play against a legion starter he had. He took it easy on me so I could learn but the box worked well.

I didn't use madraks feat the whole game, never really needed it or saw a purpose in it. Madrak was a huge help though and was a great warlock. I liked the box and won the game but I am still thinking that the impalers will kind make me not want the box.

It's a great deal if you plan to make a long range list with the impalers. The axer and Madrak was what I found to work great together. I think that for me I will still buy the box some unite and a dire troll. As madder max said the box is a good price and I am sure we could both use a impaler or two once we get into the game more.

Idk what I am. Doing really so my my list will be noobish more than likely how ever I was thinking this for 15 pts

Madrak

Axer
Mauler
Trollkin champions or fennblades.

I liked how they did in close combat so that's why I was going with a list like this.

Yeah, the Axer is a great light (reach threasher is a beautiful thing) in addition to having an animus that really helps out your melee threat range.

The Impaler is what you take when you want to go for a more shooty battlegroup, especially if you have a Diretroll Bomber. The farstrike animus is great for getting some real ranged threats, as otherwise most troll shooting isn't long enough to threaten backfield models. Long ranged Bomber shots can be quite nasty generally, and an extra turn of lobbing those big templates, as well as being able to threaten backfield models or the enemy caster is what makes the Impaler a decent choice.

The Diretroll Mauler or Earthborn are the two major melee heavies, and either one can open up a can of whoop ass. Earthborn has a few more tricks, Mauler generally has better damage output (Earthborn's can be a bit variable). One of those along with your battlegroup will be a good start.

For infantry, Fennblades are pretty good, especially with their U/A. Fast, hit reasonably hard, decent DEF when charged themselves thanks to set defence. Champions are also good, but you probably want the Kriel Stone to really make them a solid block (as they do rely on thier armour a lot), and they're a bit slow in scenarios. Pyg Burrowers are another great infantry choice, a bit trickier to use, but lots of fun.

That pretty much exhausts my knowledge of trollbloods, so good luck
