Well, I don't know if this has been talked through before, but didn't find it with the search function.
Anyways, when battle rages on, and all of a sudden you spawn a new unit of daemons, either through portal or warp table, and you bring a new unit of pink horrors.
Question is, do they get a psychic power, or not? Since all psychic powers are rolled before deployment, I'd assume that you don't. What do you think? Or have I missed something?
They would be kind of useless without any psychic powers though....

Yes, they would get a psychic power. Placing a unit on the board is deployment, and not all deployment happens prior to the first turn(ie, deep strike is a type of deployment).
EDIT: This is how I would interpret RAW, and therefore HIWPI.

There is NO SUCH THING as MORE ADVANCED in 40k!!! There are ONLY 2 LEVELS of RULES: Basic and Advanced. THE END. Stop saying "More Advanced". That is not a recognized thing in modern 40k!!!!

Hmm, you choose your powers when list building, but then choose whether to either keep them or exchange them for rulebook powers before deployment, but I think the codex states they have to take a power (correct me if I'm wrong), so spawning a new unit would actually break the rules. In a case where strict rules as written breaks the game, we go by rules as interpreted, I'd play it that you get your power right before deploying them, rather than having them not get a power at all. Either way, this needs to be FAQ'd.

Psychic power generation is normally done during pre-game setup. The rules for generating new units of Horrors don't tell us whether to generate power for them; this is a hole in the rules.
Adepticon has ruled in their FAQ that you generate powers immediately when the unit is created. I expect that GW will rule the same way when they get around to it.

GW's iOS app for psychic powers allows you to track your psykers and their warp charge through the game.
It has the option to create new horror units per the Daemons codex mid-game, and when this happens, their power is rolled for when they're created and they enter play with a warp charge.
Just FYI.

Hmm..... for some reason I don't think GW is going to rule Pink Horrors so they roll for power when they spawn. Although it'd be very interesting if they do. It's like spawning new psykers all the time.
If they don't....no use spawning any new pink horrors. :/
*EDIT* Interesting to know Yakface. I guess that's what's going to come to FAQ most likely too. RAI I suppose.
