Does anyone know if anywhere sells something that can keep track of wounds on the base.

Similar to the epic warlord bases games workshop used to do.

add a magnet to the base, make a bunch of stackable heads or something akin to your army and magnetize them to each other like a macabre totem pole, then just remove the skulsl as you lose wounds

I am not sure on size comparisons, but why not buy some hero-clicks off e-bay for cheap, pull the fig off and use those just with modified numbers in their dial?

You may use anything I post, just remember to give me credit if used somewhere else.

Make your own. Take a piece of plasticard or something, make a circle out of it. Cut the base appropriately to match the desired effect so you can access the dial, use a bit of copper wire. Glue the wire poking out of the top, and on the bottom, slip the disk on, then bend the wire closed. Boom, you're done.

Those bases are about Terminator-base sized. They're too big for your average dude. Also, you'd have to take them apart and repaint them for the wounds, which is frankly a ton of work. I like the magnetized skulls or whatever on bases for wound counters, or something simple like counters behind the model.

I've seen a Tyranid player magnetize a bunch of rippers and use those on Carnifexes and such. Someone, I believe Insaniak, has a rack on the front of a Rhino/Razorback that holds three aquillas. That wasn't the intended use, but I'm modifying mine to use that method. Also a good way for me to learn GS press molds. I imagine something similar could be done for Dreadnoughts and such.
