Hi all. About to start playing after a long break. Will be getting dark vengeance dark angels which consists of:

Dark Angels Company Master
Dark Angels Librarian
5 Deathwing Terminators
10 Dark Angel Tactical Marines
3 Ravenwing Bikes

I have also been given a dreadnaught multi-melta & power fist (no feet, don't ask!), librarian with jump pack & cyclone terminator.

My question is where would be the next logical step in filling out my army? Factors to take into account, I will mostly be playing v eldar & chaos. I realize there are probably may ways you could go, but what I'm looking for most flexibility and bang for my buck. Thanks for your time.

Well all depends what kind of DA army you want to aim at! They have several ways to play at, the Mix, The biker or the termie list. So what models do you like the best?

i like them equally in all honesty. So, i would like first, the most flexible. Second, the cheapest (not necessarily, but money is defiantly a factor!)

Well getting another of Dark vengenace (DA part) might be good for you getting a couple more bikes and termies, later on you might want belial etc. But The terminators and bikes allone are PRETTY cheap on Ebay,

As a example V

Thanks for the advice. Yeah i had noticed you could buy The split parts from DV on eBay, which obviously will be a little easier on the wallet
More bikes, more terminators or a mixture of the both seemed like a good choice to me but i just wanted to confirm i wasn't making a mistake which would end up costing me more $$ in the end.
I noticed you mention the named character Belial. Would you suggest this as a good first named character. In general are the Named characters all usable? They are pretty expensive for something you don't field, if that is the case. Just trying to get a feel for where i should be aiming to go.

Well Belial is the way to go if you want a Terminator army that's the deal about him If you dont like the model you can allways make a conversion for youself.

Belial really makes the termies sing by making them eligible to hold objectives, and eliminating randomness in deep strikes. Grab a cheap secondhand terminator with hand to hand weapons from eBay and try using him, much less expensive and if you find you love him, you can buy the expensive model and keep using the other as a squad member!

Yeah for the second terminator squad i was considering getting a second DV terminator squad and buying lightning claws or thunderhammer arm sets from e-bay or maybe one of the bits sites ? I think this will be the cheapest option.

Agreed, that sounds least expensive!

Exactly what I did. :-) Don't discount AOBR Terminators and Dreadnaughts as well! They are a little bland but dirt cheap!

Get your models on the table and looking good!

Yeah i have thought about AOBR stuff, but as ive been given a dreadnaught, i don't see another in my immediate future. As for the terminators i would like to stick to the Deathwing iconography, and are also just as cheap. The only down side is the captain will be the same model, so i think he will be thrown in a bits box ( for a future Belial conversion, when i'm more proficient at that sort of thing) and get another captain from e-bay to replace him. Thanks for all the good advice.
