Ok, my search-fu may be failing here (or maybe it's so obvious no-one has even thought to ask), but can a Stealth suit with a Markerlight (Shas'vre) shoot it at one target and his BC/FB at another?

Multi-tracker rules say the model may shoot one additional weapon.
Target lock says can shoot at a different target from the rest of his unit.

So can he mark a tank and blast another unit?
What if he's on his own (there is no "rest of his unit")?

I can't find explicit permission for a single model to shoot two different targets, so I'm leaning towards no; but if someone knows better (or for sure) I'd appreciate the input.

No, you would need specific permission to target multiple units.

While not explicitly written out in any rules, for a good point of reference, see Commander Shadowsun's XV22 Battlesuit, which specifically says "Like other Stealth battlesuits the XV22 comes equipped with a multi-tracker ... Furthermore, shadowsun can shoot each of her fusion blasters at a different target" which shows that such an ability is above and beyond the normal multi-tracker rules.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I take your point, but it's not multi-trackers that let you shoot a different target, it's target locks.

Woops. shouldn't have tried to illustrate my point

Still it seems unlikely they would specially write out Shadowsun's rule for splitting her fusion blasters just so that she could be more restricted than another model with both a multi-tracker and target lock (because of her, at least one must be fired at the primary target caveat).

Yeah, it seems a little easter-eggy.
But I was wondering what happens when (in my mind's example) a stealth team drops to one model (the Shas'vre) with a FB and a markerlight, does the target lock become useless at that point?

Yeah it appears it would.

edit: The only effect it could maybe have is to let you declare one target, use the target lock to fire at another, and then still charge the first, but even that would be questionable IMO since nothing actually shot at it.

Besides, why are you charging with a lone stealthsuit?

Target Locks allow a single model to fire at a separate target, no matter the number of weapons he is in fact firing.

Target locks do not allow single weapons to fire at separate targets.

Shadowsun specifically has permission to fire one weapon at a separate target. She does not have a Target Lock.

It's an ability hinged on "rest of his unit"; of course it's useless when there is no "rest of his unit".

I cleaned up your paraphrasing.

This is the important bit, the model can shoot at a different target but nothing says 2 targets for 1 model.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.
