So trying to get this right. Managed to get 2 riptides in and two ML teams , still a little light vs AV14 and no mobile autocannons is an issue for me. But here goes:

2 Shas'vre: tw/l Fusion, Flamer 114

2 XV88: tw/l Fusion, Flamer 94

I think you are relying too heavily on your shooting to do the trick. 24 FW will have a tough time holding objectives. I think you need to focus your list more on having the ability to play and win the mission rather than just bringing bigger and more guns.

I don't need to hold a single objective to win any of the missions. This is 6th Ed holding objectives is not as important as in 5th. I've 4 scoring units and 15 denial units. My Neurons have just 20 4+Sc scoring models and that has never been a problem here I have 24.

Drop the plamsas, keep the SMS

A lot of people are overlooking the power of 4 TL s5 AP5 30" ignores cover ignores los. SMS lets you shoot at things like hidden command squads and pesky hiveguard. If you can get rear on skimmers or fight against DE, it's also very useful. Plasma, on the other hand, implies that your opponents are gonna be within 12-24 inches of your broadsides, which is nope.

get rid of stim injectors on your Riptides and just grab an ethereal - you lose 50% of your FNP chance, but in return grant FNP to most of your army, as well as 10ld and other useful benefits.

Get rid of fusion on commander. If he's gonna be with the drones, why does he have a weapon at all? What if he kills the unit they mark, or forces them to fall back? You've wasted an entire 200 points of shooting.

Objectively, this list has only 5 things I have to remove: 2 Riptides, and 3 Broadside teams. The rest of the list is too weak to stand on its own in any sort of fashion. Tau's usefulness comes from combining parts and focusing fire -- you don't have enough supporting fire to make either riptide useful on its own. That is to say, both of your riptides are going to have to fire at an objective to clear it, because you've got nothing else to help clean it up.

Your list also has nothing that can reliably deal with land raiders or helldrakes. 4 S8 shots isn't enough.

Also, you're kidding yourself if you think you're going to win many of the 4/6 objectives missions without holding objectives. You're not going to be tabling anyone with this severe lack of anti-armor and fire-saturation, and you have nothing that can reliably hold or deny objectives against even 10 gants.

Landraiders aren't that common and I have 2 crisis melts teams. As for Helldrakes my VT Broadsides should deal with them plus my commander should kill one (hence why he has a fusion).

Plasma on the railrifle Broadsides allows me to use them against other targets like terminators as all shots are ap2/1. Whereas the SMS dovetails nicely with the HYM.

The Riptide will take a lot of fire and should be able to clear objectives on their own, with ml support to remove cover.

What would you change in the list? Dropping the plasmas for SMS nets me 20 points but reduces my anti-MEQ fire. What supports Riptides better (I'm not dropping FnP with the amount of plasma around).
