First go at such a large army with the Orks.. Also the first time I have played against Nids with the green skins.. Here is my rough draft.. Any input would be helpful

Total of 2000 points.. The trukk will be used for the burnas to move them around.. Thinking of having them in reserve to be a fire brigade? I am limited some what by models.. I got more boyz to use if needs be.. ton of Nobz.. And 3 warbikes.. 2 weirdboys.. Another Warboss.. Tau is my main army.. I did quite well against the Nids last week with them.. Orks are another kettle of fish.. Oh and I have Deffkoptas.. Though I should probably put them together.. lol

Personally, I'd never run Killa Kans with anything but a Grotzooka. Particularily good against horde armies like many of those brought by Nids.

Consider upgrading the Nob leaders to PK, Big Choppa is good against vehicles and against some monsterous creatures, but PK is good against all monstrous creatures

Blitzbomba is pretty rubbish, but more fun than the Dakkajet. Consider the Burna Bomba though, again because its good vs hordes.

Maybe ditch the Killkannon and get a deff rolla, ditch one big shoota, the Wagon now squashes stuff then drops boys into the fight rather than sits back and shoots.

Finally, if you ally with Codex: Dread Mob you can get another Big Mek (SAG?) or a Painboss (ie painboy to go in any unit you like), you can take allied Deff Koptas that get buzzsaws (PK) for only ten points, and all sorts of cheap deff rolla equipped transports

I am sorry.. Ally with dread mob? You mean split the army? and have 2 sets of hqs?

Dread Mob is a seperate Ork codex. Think of it like how Space Marines and Blood Angels are similar, but two different choices.

you are playing against tyranids and consider blitza bomba instead of another dakkajet? .....whatever floats your boat!

id srsly consider dakkajets against nids they be deadly.
also they dont need red paint job you allready fly 18-36 inches.

killa kanz against nids works best with either grootzookas or skorchas. but normally id skip em all together due their low front armor/HP

and as you say you got quite some tau. what about using tau as main army and orks as allies. or the otherway.

I played Tau last week and won.. I want to play a different army Is dread Mob.a forgeworld codex? I built the kits before I read the rules.. I find the rules for the bomber fun.. Though I can proxy it as a fighter..

Dread mob is a forgeworld codex, you'll find it in Imperial Armour 8 which is easy enough to get hold of if you look in the right places (for instance, your local hobby store, thats totally what I mean)

As for the Dakkajets, they are the "power" choice of the Ork aircraft. Much stronger than Blitza Bombers or Burna Bombers. If you want to play to win, never, ever take any flier but the Dakkajet. If you want to have fun though, screw that stupid jet, take one of the others they are much more enjoyable!
