Thoughts? I feel it is a pretty efficient TAC list, and im thinking of bringing it to my next local tournament as i havent gone with the blood angles yet (too occupied with daemons). So thoughts? Critiques? I realise it might be a little upgrade heavy but with 65 points left over after my first go, there werent many other options i feel.

I think that for this kind of list, the lone predator sticks out. I'd donwgrade the fists to axes maybe and get 3 X MM attack bikes instead of the pred. That way, you've got more stuff benefitting from FNP. And definitely give the libby shield. The other power should be offensive, so you can cast it on your turn. Lance/shield might be a good choice.

My experience with lone vehicles is that they will get taken out quick. When I was starting I'd run one Furioso with blood talons and it'd get taken out 9/10 times before it even got to them, as they would focus fire on it. Once I got a second, both usually survived(or perhaps I got better at covering for them with other threatening things, I really don't know for sure).

I think you'll probably have your dread killed off before it gets to the enemy, unless it drops behind or near them and probably gets taken out promptly the next turn, making it a one turn wonder and unable to assault(making the magna grapple probably not worth it). The pred would then probably get focused as it came into range.

I agree that lone vehicles will get taken out, However wouldnt the preds anti-tank be able to take out other anti-tank guns, and the furioso drop in killing entrenched squads such as Long Fangs, Loootas...

As well, they both have AV13 which is pretty good in 1k IMO. They are meant to dela with threats while the jumpers move up to charge and finish hurt stuff.

I have yet to play-test this exact list yet though, so i will put thought into it, maybe a match tomorrow and see hows it goes. Thanks guys, really good ideas

Get the MM attack bikes. You won't regret it. Plus, they can fight in HTH.

In my experience you don't need furioso in 1000 pts, it dies quickly. If you really want one, take a drop pod, or even better, a storm raven. I usually take my jump librarians with divination powers, because of the awesome primaris power along with the other good powers. I would take the assault marines with melta guns instead of flamers, and I would take power axes instead of fists, axes usually suffice, and are cheaper and allow more attacks. Also I would drop the predator. In most games in sixth edition, I field a storm raven with TL multi meltas and hurricane bolters, it is amazingly effective. I don't find rage effective anymore with changes to preferred enemy.

I'm also gonna say that the Furioso isn't going to be amazing at this point value. It's either gonna instagib a whole squad, or more often than not, die. I use a pretty generic 1000 point list, but looking at your list, I see you like to put a personal flair on things, and this has a lot of room for tweaking.

Thanks guys. I have not yet bought an actual predator (have a baal) so this is good to know. I see where MM AB come from, really like the idea. Only problem is, wont they suffer from less range or is that not as big a problem in 6th?

@legendarygamatatsu, i love my furioso he is pretty awesome, and he does have a drop pod which allows a nice distraction turn 1 for the rest of my army to jump up. If i add MM AB, i cna see everything rushing forward and the enemy being pressured by all sides. Sadly i dont have a Stormraven and not really looking forward to paying 80$ for one quite yet

Finally, especially if i get MM AB, my jump squads will run with flamers as in my local area there are only ever 50% maximum marine armies, but normally less. The flamers higher AP is really good aginst nids ( a few players), orks, IG, eldar/DE...

Oh and zombie otter, i like SG, but at 1k I see better uses. Might wanna try the out again though, havent for a while.

*EDIT*
Would one squad of bikes or 3 seperate ones be more ideal?

MM AB move 12 Inches and feth gak up within 12''. If you love Furiosos, that's awesome. Because Furiosos are awesome. So I'd run 3x or 2x Multi Melta bikes, have Furioso go in turn 1 and feth up their infantry, and mop up the stragglers with the bikes before the main force arrives. At 1000 points that sounds like a kickass combo, especially if you use the bike rule that makes them go 24''.

Sounds like a plan. Ill pick up some attack bikes soon to feth stuff up real good. Or, if anyone thinks picking up a stormraven would be better instead of 2 attacks bikes and something else (anyone have ideas for another 30 dollars that they think i may need?)

Attack bikes and Stormraven fill different roles. Attack bikes are ground based fire magnets and anti-tank/teq/MC. Stormraven is primarily a hedge vs other non-Vendetta fliers.

So i take it the bikes and another sqaud of something would be better, or just save money after getting 2 bikes?
