I recently got some flames of war, and I'm finally getting the last part I need to start using my airbrush. Now, I've found some wonderful tutorials on youtube from FoW that I want to use to paint my entire army...but I have a problem.

The tutorials use Vallejo paints, and while I would happily use them, I don't want to have to ordert them and wait, I've already waited long enough to get the airbrush parts!

So, I'm going to list the Vallejo colours, and I'm hoping someone can tell me which Humbrol acrylic/revel paints I could use to get the same, if not a similar colour, as all the colour charts on the internet are either confusing, or incomplete.

middlestone
chocolate brown
reflective green
brown shade (probably okay to use devlan/earthshade)
gunmetal grey
German camo dark green
german field grey
green grey
brown violet
german camo beige
beige brown
flat flesh
german camo medium brown
lufftwaffe camo green
german grey
cavalry brown
hull red
light brown

Another small question, is it safe to spray matt and gloss varnish through an airbrush, or should I just buy spray cans of the stuff?

Thank you in advance to anyone that helps here,

You can ignore this post now, just realised modelzone stock Vallejo, and there's a store a short bus ride away XD
