War Walker Pilot with Withering Fire

I've entered myself in an upcoming tournament. Given that I play Eldar, getting a quadgun and Aegis was almost mandatory. I don't like the idea of fielding one, what with all those Imperial Eagles sprawled over it. I hope, or wish that Xenos themed fortifiations get released at some point.
Perhaps an Eldar Aegis with forcefields instead of concrete walls, with a twin linked skyfire pulse laser?
An upgrade to include a webway gate (or two) which grants +1 to reserve rolls, and I can deploy 6" from the gate.
An Eldar skyshield perhaps?
Just brainstorming here, but anyone got some better ideas they think relevant?
FYI - I HAVE seen the Eldar aegis lines people have modelled themselves. Yes, they are awesome. But aint nobody got time fo' dat.

I would love to see more xenos related fortifications.
I have also seen the Eldar Aegis conversions people have done but like you say not everyone has time for that.
As an idea, how about a larger Eldar webway portal (like in the DOW games) that is a 12/12/12 3 or HP building that deep strikes onto the board (maybe on the first turn?) and then the Eldar reserves can emerge from it.
I can see this costing about 150pts but I think it would be worth it.

I think placing it during the infiltration phase (and using the same rules) would be appropriate.
Then units would roll for reserve as normal, and can choose to deploy 6" from the webway gate. Then...MAYBE then can charge on the turn they arrive...maybe?
DE would receive access to the same item/unit/fortification

I think that it appearing during the infiltration phase is actually highly appropriate (it turns out the portal was always there, just invisible to the naked eye).
I would also let the unit charge on the same turn they arrive like you said as they would not count as disembarking from a vehicle.
How many points do you think this would be worth? Automatically Appended Next Post: Eldar/Dark Eldar Webway Gate (Fortification)
Type: Fortification
Pts: 150
Stats: Armour 12/12/12 HP: 3
Penetrating hits on the Gate (except wrecked or explodes) have no effect except for the loss of Hull Points as it cannot be shaken, stunned or immobilised.
Deployment: The Webway portal is deployed by the Eldar/Dark Eldar player during the Infiltration phase. It may not be deployed within 18” of enemy models.
Eldar/Dark Eldar units in reserve may decide to enter play through the Webway Gate instead of their table edge. Make the reserve roll for the unit as normal, and if successful, the unit may arrive within 6” of the Webway Gate. Note that unlike the Dark Eldar Webway Portal, vehicles may use the Webway Gate due to the increased size of it and that units arriving through the Gate may move, shoot and assault in the same turn they arrive.
Options:
The Webway Portal may be equipped with a Holo Field or Night Shield for + 25pts. Despite the name difference, these items both grant the Webway Portal the Shrouded special rule.
I just quickly drafted these rules based on my original ideas and Belly's suggestions.
I added the Holofield/Night shield option because in the DOW game an upgrade could be bought which allowed the Webway Portals to be invisible.
