As a long time Fantasy player and new convert to Warhammer 40k, I cherished the General's Compendium for Fantasy.

Is Crusade of Fire the 40k equivalent? Is the content worth the price?

Thanks in advance.

Yes and no.

The long and short of it is that it could have been done a lot better, imo. The whole thing reads like a battle report, aka a summary of what happened when the players involved played it as opposed to the real information you need to run it.

I don't care about what armies they used, and the fluff that went with it. I want the special scenarios that were played.

I don't want special new special Flyer rules, I want a solid base map for the campaign.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

If you have the money to spare, it's not bad. I agree with Ralis, it could have been done better. It's sort of all over the place. But it's a fun read and has some good ideas in it.

No, it is not worth it (or anything).

Only get it if you want to ensure you own as many GW published books as possible.

Other than that, skip over it. Nothing of too much value in it

if you want to play on deamon worlds and make your own campaigns its a good fin. i tried out the flier rules there for a flying based game, my ork flyers kept ramming my opoments flyers as that dealt more damage
