Strategy
DEATHSTAR in LR pallys GM+ coteaze
Vindicare infiltrates in a ruin or cover to hopefully get first blood on mech. And the no lookout sir vs his shot rocks
DKs teleport in to make opponent either deal with them or face a LR comin at them flat out. Plus jump monsterous rock.
Psybacks with TL help against flyers and hordes.
raven comes in and saves the day vs flyers as it stays a long range flyer killer

Make Draigo a generic GM and save yourself 100 points for other things. The paladins will still be scoring via grand strategy. Also, Paladins have no (Ch) in thier units so warding staff on anyone is not going in challenges. Removing the land raider and bringing a 3rd Teleporting DK is more devastating for the enemy than a LR.

I like this idea as it fits a storm raven in
The LR gets the pallys in combat. So they aren't kited all game.

Looking to veteran GK players advice. Against Necrons with MSS is my best bet to just accept the challenge and hope to pass leadership?

How's my GM load out look?

The Twilight Zone

If you are fighting necron MSS, a hammer is a very bad idea for your GM. If you fail the test, you are looking at instakilling yourself very quickly. A sword or halbred would be much better. You can't cut through 2+ armor, but going first with a large number of attacks is usually best. Between rad grenades and hammerhand you should have no trouble wounding. Activate your force weapons if they fail a save and there is your instakill. The sword also provides a 3++ in combat, and wont cut your own terminator armor should you fail scarabs, while the hammer can instakill you and costs more. If you want a hammer in a challenge, you can send in coteaz.

The brain mines are very good against crons as you will stop them from striking 2 of 3 times. I would strongly reccomend defensive grenades though. These will protect your unit from other death stars or nasty units(necron wraiths will gladly charge you) and providing stealth is situational but handy. The ability to reduce attacks from a horde charge is also nice. Paladins are tough, but enough attacks will bring them down.

A brotherhood banner is questionable on a smaller squad. If you had six pallys, maybe, but I would consider spending the points elsewhere. Psybolt on the land raider comes to mind. An incinerator on the grand master is also another bargain weapon which gives the squad some more punch and tactical flexibility.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Well said. Thank you for this suggestion. Dunno why I didn't connect these dots.

I think the Hammer is fine, you just have to be smart about his placement. The bro banner is probably a bad investment.

Why no psycannon on the GM?

Also why would you take the Lascannon on the Stormraven? The assault cannon is better against vehicles and infantry? Then get it psybolt ammo!

Id consider dropping the Vindicare you don't need him to kill tanks and LoS has neutralized his ability against characters.

By Los I hope you mean line of sight because:
Q: Does the Vindicare Assassin’s Deadshot special rule supersede the Look Out, Sir special rule for the purposes of Wound allocation, meaning that the player who owns the Vindicare Assassin is still allowed to allocate the wounds from its shooting even if their opponent makes and passes a Look Out, Sir roll? (p53)
A: Yes.
(Straight from FAQ)

Also the DEATHSTAR is a Melee unit. No point wasting points on expensive ranged weaps.
I will think about assault canon withosybolt but I can't fit the bolsters as I want the vindicare.

Cheers Id missed that FaQ. I'm a bit biased because in over 20 games my Vindicare has a less than 50% hit ratio useless git...

I know it is a CC unit but the psycsnnon us cheap for its damage output. Also have transport popping weapons on assault units is extremely useful!

Drop the paladins because they aren't good enough in 5 man squads and not enough punch to be considered a death star. You can run almost 2 times as many terminators. Personally think you should run purifiers instead add some spycannons and more razorbacks.
Dredknights with new FAQ gets S10 and +1A no matter what you give it so you need to give it a sword. 25 points and you get to reroll hits and miss. Otherwise you won't kill more them 2 or 3 models a turn. With the sword you will probably kill an extra one or 2. Ravens are good if your a blood angel. But not for us. Ignore enemy flyers and for the troops. The LR never seems to find a place in my lists unless its a redeemer full of purifiers.

Paladins are a great deathstar, because they have serious damage in the shooting phase with psycannons and serious damage in the assault phase as well.

Paladins, and all GK units, are generalists. They are good at shooting and at combat, but are a bit expensive.

If you are putting the Paladins in the Land Raider, you are only relying on their combat power. However, they are rather expensive for their combat power.
Try having your 5 Paladins fight 5 TH/SS terminators. TH/SS terminators are a pure assault unit. They have no shooting power, so they are very cost effective for their assault power.

I would put the paladins on foot and give them 2 psycanons. 8 S7 shots a turn with re-rolls to hit (Coteaz) will really shred any enemy units.

Then you can trade your Land Raider for a second Storm Raven. You could give them both Psybolt ammo and Hurricane bolters as well (I think you have enough points)
2 flyers means that you will be more likely to overwhelm the enemy flyer defense, and have your flyers run wild. Also in this edition a Storm Raven is more durable than a Land Raider in a lot of cases.

Svendrex is banging on the money. Plus solo raiders are too easy to deal with. Landraiders in pairs or more only.
