Anyone have sources for good, covered display stands/plinths/bases? I've got a 6" tall model on a 120mm oblong base and the customer asked about protective display bases. The closest I've found this far are sports memorabilia displays, which are either too small, or too huge.

What sort of tools do you have access to? Building your own in a similar style to the more widely available sports cases wouldn't be too tricky if you have the right tools - just slot some square dowel stock to accept glass or acrylic panels and slap the frame on top of a pre-cut plaque, then stain or paint to taste and assemble. A table saw, radial arm saw, or router (which would also allow you to dress up the edges of your own bottom board) would make quick work of the slotting, but it's a pain to do by hand.

If you can't build it, I've got nothing to offer, unfortunately - custom cases are usually quite expensive and all that I see sold off the shelf are the usual sizes (1/24 scale car, basketball, football, helmet, etc.).

I unfortunately am lacking the ability to make one myself at this time. That'd be far easier for sure. The shape of the base is the real limiting factor so far. I'll keep looking, maybe someone else can offer up more advice.
