Hi Dakka, I've been trying to put together a list that is fun, uses some cool models, but can also hold its own in a semi-competitive environment. So I've put together a list using models I own to try and cover a cool/fun side and a competitive edge:

HQ

Primaris Psyker

TROOPS

Veterans (3x plasma)
Chimera

Veterans (3x plasma)
Chimera

HEAVY

Leman Russ Executioner
Leman Russ Executioner

ALLIES

HQ

Dante

TROOPS

Sanguinary Guard (chapter banner)
Sanguinary Guard

FAST

Attack Bikes (x3, multi-meltas)

ELITE

Furioso dreadnought (fragnought or blender)

HEAVY

Stormraven

=1960

I know I don't have a vendetta, which I have 2 of and love, but I don't know if I need 3 TL-LC in this list with the melta bikes - maybe I should use the vendetta rather than the bikes...

I also know the primaris psyker isn't great, I'd rather a CCS but can't protect them or keep them up with the rest of the army unless I find points for a chimera for them.

The storm raven will carry the dreadnought in - again risky.

Strengths - I'm thinking that I have anti-elite troops covered with all the plasma, anti-tank covered with the melta (use the remaining 40 points for infernus pistols). I have mobility, a lot of variety and options, the dread can challenge mobs whichever variant... Plus I get to use some really cool models and fun units!

Will this fall flat on its face or is it a decent balance of fun and competitive (semi)

Thanks!

If you have access to them, you should field Vendettas if you want to compete consistently.

Use the Vendettas instead of the Stormraven. The Stormraven is mediocre bordering on bad because if it price tag.

If you can, dump BA and use Space Wolf allies. They work out much better in my experience. BA are a flat out bad 6th edition list.

Unfortunately ive already started my BA collection. And its not really unfortunately as I chose them for the fluff and models! I m just looking for a way to use them! Allying with my guard seeme the best place to start... I think the guard give some great shooting and heavy hitting stuff, with the plasma I can take on anything in the shooting phase!

My current BA models: sanguinary guard , assault termies (thss), attack bikes, devastators, 2 dreads, libby, dante, lemartes, 10 DC, scouts, assault squads, stern guard.

I wanted to put a list together that was fun to play and cool models to paint whilst not just getting wiped.

Any further help??
