As the title says, can it be done? Has it been done?

I'd like to be able to swap between the Rail Gun and missile pods but the angling looks a bit difficult.

(For the record, I'm using 3mmx1mm and 10mmx1mm magnets)

Yes it can. I have done it myself. Here is what I used to help me do it.

Fantastic, thank you!

Those are some beasty magnets she's using there. Would magnets of that size be necessary?

Honestly If I were you I would try smaller. I used some pretty big ones like her and they have been pulled out of the arm since they are too powerful and the smaller ones have worked just as well to be honest.

Yeah, I thought that'd happen. They looked too strong for their purpose. I can't imagine a smaller magnet holding much up though.

Just found some 6x3 mm magnets on ebay which I think is roughly similar, in inches, to what she used in the video ( perhaps a tiny % smaller).

I think I might give those a try but that means finding a 6mm drill bit too

The problem with this video is that the green stuff will never dry with the super glue in there. A firend of mine did that with one of his models and 2 years later the GS was still wet inside when I took the model apart. The glue hardens the outside of the GS but seals it so the inside doesn't dry.

So just FYI before you do this.
