Hi members,
For the Sisters of Battle the troop size is 10 models BUT it also shows an Immolator as a transport option. The Immolator has a carrying capacity of 6 only models though.

So, does that mean in order to use the Immolator, I have to break the Sob unit into two 5 lady squads and let one ride and the other walk?
Thanks

Sandy

SoB cannot combat squad like regular marines can.

You either have to wait until they've taken enough casualties to fit , or let other units borrow it.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

You can't split the unit in two (Space Marines can, not Sisters).
The standard Sisters squad is too large for he Immolator. They can take one, but can't embark on it.
It's more of an option for the smaller, more elite, units like Celestians.

Okay the White Dwarf SoB codex and my Army Builder software is misleading.

What I'd have to do is:
Create a SoB and use the Immolator as a "go it alone" weapons platform for either the TL HF or its TL HB or MM options. Maybe toss on it a HK missile.

Can Immolators Tank Shock?

It is your perception that is the issue, not the WD Codex or Army Builder. Take a look at almost every recent codex barring Dark Eldar. Squads can take transports they are too big to fit in. The classic case is Chaos Space Marines.

Right behind you...

Look in the Immolator's unit entry. IIRC it is listed as a tank so yes it would be allowed to tank shock...

You generally don't use the immolator as a transport. You can run an army where you buy an immolator for every unit of sisters, and simply use the immolators as mobile weapons platforms.

Either they bring a bunch of melta or a bunch of flamers to your army.

If you wanna transport people, you bring rhinos.
