Subject: Considering making a Borderlands 2 themed 40k Army

I have had 2 ideas for a new 40K army, both of them related to Borderlands 2.
The first was a Hyperion themed Tau army, with FW's as the basic Hyperion troops, which Crisis Suits & Riptides as the Loaders.
I think this would take lots of conversion work though, which I don't have time or money for.
The second idea was a Crimson Raider force, most likely made up of a GK codex Coteaz Henchman list (i.e. very low numbers of actual GK's).
Most likely something like this to stand in for Borderlands characters:
Coteaz - Roland
Xenos Inquisitors - Maya/Lilith
Vindicare assassin - Zero (sniper mode)
Callidus assassin - Zero (deception mode with sword)
Techmarine + gun servitors - Axton + Sabre turret
Henchman squads - Crimson Raiders
Not sure on what I would take for fast attack or heavy support yet as this idea is in the very early stages.
Also was looking for some ideas on how to represent the other Borderlands characters in the force somehow, i.e. Brick, Mordecai, Salvador and Gaige.

I'm no expert on borderlands, but I imagine a CSM cultist army would fit the bill better. Lot's of raggedy looking folk with gun's, swarming about and ruining people's day with bullet's to the face and such.

Checkout my blog in my sig for a Borderlandsesque Tau army.
Note... I'm going to update the blog soon with a very different setup. The Tau didn't work for me.
On a note though...
I'd use this for a Vault Hunters squad:
Henchmen.
Roland - Warrior Acolyte with Boltgun.
Lilith - Mystic or Psyker.
Brick - Gun Servitor with Plasma Cannon.
Mordecai - Vindicare.
Axton - Gun Servitor with Heavy Bolter.
Maya - Same as Lilith.
Zero - Death Cult Assassin or Eversor.
Salvador - Anything with a lot of guns.
Gaige - Jokaero.
Krieg - Arco Flagellant.
I've got a friend converting some up right now.

Thanks Puscifier.
Any chance of you posting pics of your friends conversions once they are done?

Well, Mordecai's easy - use him as a Vindicare, that keeps Zer0 (spell it right!) free to be the Callidus, and you can use both without any confusion then.
Salvador would make a good Jokaero, but then you'd need to come up with something for other Jokaero that fits. Maybe some midget bandits for him to lead.
It'd have to be one *hell* of a conversion - I would personally buy a hat just to tip you with it if you pull it off - but, Gaige riding atop Deathtrap's shoulders could stand in for Karamazov and the wheelchair of doom...
Another suggestion as well - the plastic Chaos cultists and the older metal Necromunda models would be easy enough to convert into Bandits and Psychos. The latter would make pretty good Death Cult Assassins.

Although I think it is overkill, having Deathtrap as a Dreadnaught or even Dreadknight would be a fun modelling project. How to represent "explosive clap" though? :-p
