Hey guys I am in need of some help. I bought a forgeworld Nurgle plague hulk and have been looking at how to clean off the release agent left on them. I have tried putting him in hot soapy water and scrubbing with a toothbrush, and I have also tried scrubbing him with bicarbinate of soda. Neither of these methods have worked so far. Can anyone please give me an idea of what to try next? Possibly put fairly liquid straight onto him and scrub with a wet toothbrush so its more concentrated?

Forgeworld have their own guide for working with Resin models here

If Washing up liquid isnt doing the job, I tried floor cleaner on my last batch of FW stuff and it worked out alright.

The rarefied atmosphere

My foolproof steps (unless you have sweating resin, in which case send it back):

1. Put washing up liquid on model
2. Submerge in warm water
3. Leave overnight
4. Rinse off model, fill another bowl of warm water
5. While submerged clean using a sonic toothbursh
6. Rinse and dry
7. Repeat once more

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

How would you know if you've got sweating resin?

If you see a shiney/greasy spot...clean it up really good, and then the next day it is shiney/greasy - it is sweating. There are ways of dealing with it - but in the case of Forge World...get a replacement.

Okay, but what causes the resin to sweat?

Being improperly mixed is the usual culprit for causing sweating.

They sell it in all large supermarkets.

How would you use the Fairy power spray because I know it can used to strip paint of models?

I just use soapy water and a bit of light scrubbing (as others have suggested).

if you need more than this...something might be wrong with the mini.

How do you know its not working?

Well to be very honest I don't know if it's not working it's just that some of them still have a shine to them.

Ah, resin even clean will often have a shine - especially if its very smooth.

If your glue or primer won't stick - then you may have a mold release problem (or a primer or super glue problem...).
