Subject: Justicar Thawn coming back end of game

Member of a Lodge? I Can't Say

So I was playing a game against grey knights, and my opponent brought Justica Thawn back at the end of the game (it ended on my turn) to contest an objective. I looked at the rules and it says he can come back in subsequent turns, he argued that Thawn can never be killed. Does he have a leg to stand on here?

When Thawn is killed, place a marker at his position. In each subsequent friendly turn, roll a die: on a 4+, he returns to play by himself. If he dies again, he can just be resurrected again.
But if you're saying that he rolled when it was not his turn, then he cheated. If the game ends and Thawn is dead, then he's dead. A KP for you, and no objectives for him.

He can only roll on his turn. If you are going second, and kill him, then if the game ends at the end of your turn there is no opportunity for the model to come back.

Fluff-wise Thrawn resurrects and comes back later on.
For the purposes of the game though those who say that the grey knight player can only roll to see if he returns on their turn are correct; so if the game ends with him temporarily dead? That counts as a KP for you and an uncontested objective too, if his death token was the only presence the grey knights had there anyway.
In short: your opponent cheated, given your listed scenario...

I shall not Yield quite clearly says he only comes back on the GK player's turn.
