Hi Dakka,

I'm playing in a fairly casual tournament for Warhammer Fantasy. I had my first ever games today, and have another three tomorrow. But while I went in using a loaned army of Warriors of Chaos, a guy there pretty much gave me $200 of Lizardmen (!!! I gotta pay for it 'anytime in like the next five years', so at this point, its practically free) and since we're able to change our armies and lists for round two (tomorrow morning), I want to make a Lizardman list.

The problem is though, I don't know the first thing about them! I don't even have the codex, so I'm kind of stuck...

I know I have Saurus and Skink skirmishers en mass, a Stegaon and at least ten Cold One cavalry and a Slann. Counts-as is pretty liberal and characters are allowed. My doubles partner is going to run like, 300 Skaven Slaves or some crazy gak, so I was thinking going for magic and ranged attacks alongside a core of Saurus troops, and pretty much hiding behind his massive tarpit and casting spells and gak. Is this a valid strategy?

Can someone help a fellow dakkanaught out? I don't know the first thing about Fantasy but I really enjoy it, and it' be nice to move up from dead last !
