I decided to swap my Legion for Skorne. I've been looking forward to Gargantuans for some time but was so let down with the Archangel's stats that I couldn't justify purchasing two of'em. Two Mammoths on the other hand...
I'm cross-posting from the Privateer Press forums because there is not enough content here for Warmahordes. Here's the link:

With that out of the way...
I really like the Skorne models but they're not evil enough for me. The tassels scream "Persian rug" to me, not "pain=fun". Sadistic, torturing, people-mutilating peoples hellbent on enslaving the known world should reflect that a bit more in their attire. With that as a driving concept, all of my models will be customized with some inspiring bits from the Games Workshop range.
I find that I'm much more motivated to work when I have a blog to keep me honest The more you post, the more I will!
So, without further ado, here's the beginning of my Skorne empire:

"Hello, ladies, look at your Gladiator, now back to me, now back at your Gladiator, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped wearing tassels and switched to skulls, he could look like he’s me."
"Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on a base with the Skorne your man could look like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s a base with little bits of skulls. Look again, the bits of statue are Cthulhu."
"Anything is possible when your Skorne looks like Mosg's Skorne. I’m a Cthulhu-horse."
Automatically Appended Next Post: I really hate the default pose of the Cyclops Savages. They just look too static. Also, the fact that the forearm is bigger than from the shoulder to the elbow just looks wrong. Combined with the over-round stomach armor, it makes them look gangly and oafish.
So, fixed:

This is what I'm thinking for a paint scheme:
It's simple, clean and dark. Obviously there'll be more metal and skin tones with the Skorne.
What do you all think?
