These 3 wound, armor eating bugs always seem to tie me up.
They are either destroying my tanks and dreads, or contesting objectives and taking almost 5 turns of cc for a Tac squad to successfully take them out.
Ive had luck letting a squad of TH/SS terminators wipe them out in a turn or 2, but I would rather their attention be spent elsewhere.
I also find it hard to justify using all of my ranged attacks to take them out as they scurry across the field when I can pop a few tanks instead.
Any decent tactics on how to take these buggers out?
Playing C:SM
Would be neat to see how other armies deal with them as well.

S6 weapons to ID the bases or Blasts/Templates to inflict double wounds. If you can take a S6+ Blast you'll be killing 2 whole bases for every wound inflicted.

It will kill 2 bases per wound, double wounds to blasts combined with instant death = 2 dead bases per wound. One shot from a thunderfire will evaporate them instantly 9 times out of 10

Plasma Cannons
Redeemer Flamestorms
Demolishers
Conversion Beamer
You have a pretty large array of weapons to choose from for that role.

A fun note on allies. Rad grenades GK or DA drop their toughness to 2, then s4 cc or boltguns ID them.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.
