Ok so I have gradually expanded my army and Im getting better as each game go's by but Im wondering what Should I get next after I get some Gun mages with Officer?

The units I already have are:

-Pstryker
-Defender
-Ironclad
-Lancer
-Charger
-Stormclad
-Trencher Infantry
-Maxwell Finn
-Sniper UA for Trenchers
-Captain adept gun mage

Next week I will be picking up the following as part of a secondhand deal:

-Kara Solan
-Jouneyman Warcaster
-B13
-Squire


So after I have them and the Gun mages What next should I get, I want I good CC unit as I am currently playing gunline (yes I know Gunlines+Warmahordes=loss) I was thinking on stormblades or Stormguard which one would be better for my army?

Also is Kara Solan any good with trenchers? I have heard she can go really well with them but I do not know her rules atm.

If you get gun mages be sure to get their officer.

Sloan can make anything hit easier since her feat is essentially deadeye for her control area plus some battlegroup shenanigans. Trenchers may not be a perfect fit with her, but they'll get some work done. Make sure to get her Reinholt.

As for melee infantry, Cygnar can get some fair hitting power, but the faction doesn't offer anything resilient or evasive, that is why so many people end up using mercenary infantry.

Stormblades have high power weapons and even pack some short range shooting. They are frail but have very high power in both melee and at (short) range.
Precursor knights have shield guard, a once-per-game damage buff, and also spell ward. They can get up to arm 18 with spell immunity, but they are also immune to your own arcane shield.
Sword knights are cheap and unremarkable infantry, but they can be pesky to kill at arm 16 in base to base. Their officer is a great jack marshal, but does little for the unit beyond bringing them a flank buddy.
Forge guard are mercenary darves with big hammers. They are slow, easy to hit, high armor, and pow 11 weaponmasters for a fair price.
Nyss hunters are fast combined arms infantry. They are very mobile shooters that can move and fire through forests. Why are they listed as melee troops? They are pow 9 weapon masters with combined melee attacks and can be given assault by including Murdoch.
Boomhowler's mercenary trollkin are very tough infantry with a lot of neat utility effects.

Ok thanks I was thinking on getting Ecaine is there anything that is a must have with him? besides the usual Gun mages and Squire.

Reinholdt is the third member of the triumvirate when it comes to eCaine (squire, eCaine and reinholdt), that extra initial is great

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Ok thanks I was thinking on Eiryss for my Cygnar since I see her frequently in multiple lists, just wondering what she brings to the table?

Mage hunter Eiryss brings a very potent tool vs. warmachine warcasters. She can disrupt them like warjacks, clearing their focus. Her downside is that she does nothing to fury, so a hordes player treats her as a n ordinary pesky sniper solo.

Angel of the the Retribution Eiryss can still disrupt warjacks by shooting them, and now even disrupts them by being close. She can no longer disrupt warcasters, but can now remove upkeep spells on targets she hits. In the current status of high-end tournaments, this effect is very strong.

Both versions have a few more tricks to them, but this is the foundation of why you take her.

Yes that is the Epic version of Eiryss.

Another suggestion for eCaine is Ol' Rowdy. Matter of fact eCaine loves Ol' Rowdy. He is the most focus efficient jack in Cygnar and quite possible one of the most efficient in the game being able to both run and charge for free. And he hits like a freaking truck.

I highly recommend bringing him along with eCaine.

Reinholdt and the Squire as has been mentioned are very good but I would not say they are NEEDED. They definitely add to his killing potential so I do recommend them but sometimes I run eCaine without both of them and he does just fine.

The Black 13th with Gorman are an excellent unit to run with eCaine as well they are very independent and can fill just about any task and all for only 6 points.

In an eCaine army you want Rangers because they pretty much guarantee Caine is going to hit the enemy caster giving him an effective Rat 11 against them. Boomhowler and Horgenhold Forgeguard make excellent melee units for eCaine because they are rather self sufficient. Boomhowler and Co with Heightened Reflexes are an absolute nightmare to deal with. HHFG behind them with wreck pretty much anything they can get into contact with.

Remember that ATGM with their UA are reall hard to hit so if you don't want Boomhowler what I do is run my gun mages in front of my HHFG because at base DEF 15 and DEF 18 with blur most enemies will have trouble hitting them at range and then you can open up for your HHFG to get the charge P+S 11 +4d6 damage rolls? Yes, please.

There are lots of tricks with eCaine most of them involve using models to open up assassination lanes.

For instance the last game I played against Retribution my opponent had Ravyn hiding behind a Phoenix and in range of eCaine but out of LOS. Gun mages move toward the Phoenix and proceed to thunderbolt him out of the way eCaine makes his move and the game is over. The thing to remember with Cygnar is while they might not have the best units as individuals (ATGM + UA not included) they have the most tricks that can really control the board and annoy the opponent.

Yeah I really like 'Ol rowdy I think I shall get him and a squire but unsure of the gobbo. I like boomhowler and Co. mainly because I have played against trolls before and found them to be tough (see the pun ) to crack so having a few trolls for myself would be cool. I was thinking of Eeyriss as well since she can take away buffs such as Iron flesh (as I have read) which I find difficult to deal with, and I have not heard much for rangers however when reading up on them they do seem a lot like Widowmakers so I would go for them as well .

I was thinking about a journeyman warcaster as well mainly because it can give focus to warjacks which i feel may help out Ecaine a lot, but unsure if it is a wise choice.

Journeyman with eCaine isn't really needed. You will have 1 or 2 jacks max with eCaine and since the journeyman would have to have the jack in his battlegroup to give it focus you are bettered served to take jacks that can be marshaled to the gun mages and then throw in Arlan as the extra focus boost if needed.

Don't count out Arlans ability to fight either with his Gauntlet he is excellent for getting up and disrupting enemy jacks or killing infantry with his spray. There are other more efficient ways to spend the 2 points but if you are worried about focus for a jack he is worth the 2 points for the free focus and repair ability.

eCaine hates warjacks because he hates giving out focus for no reason. Yes you will be casting spells in early game but eventually the focus will all stay on Caine who will be demolishing enemy infantry and such with his infinite pistols. That is why having Ol' Rowdy is a good idea.

They will only be getting repackaged into the full unit for the time being. Maybe there will eventually be resculpts on the way but no sign of it in the near future.
