Hi all,
So this is my first try at a batrep. I'm a photographer more than a writer and I could care less about the detailed, tactical mumbo-jumbo of 40k. If you are looking for awesome, detailed tactics, please look elsewhere. This is not the post you're looking for...

P.S. Sorry for the quality of the photos, my phone camera is no bueno and I forgot my actual camera at home in a rush to meet up.

The Armies were basically:
Dante with Sanguinarian Guards (2 power axes, 2 swords) and with Dante's mask
Death Company of 5 with Lemartes
2 Squads of 5 Tac marines
Outflanking:
Baal Predator with a tl assault cannon and 2 heavy bolter sponsons.
Warlord Trait: Master of Ambush (Acute Senses army wide)

Mad Doc
20 'Ard Boys with cyborg bodies
1 upgraded to a nob with powerklaw
20 Shoota Boys in a battlewagon with a big shoota
12 Lootas (2 meks)
Outflanking:
3 Deffkoptas
10 Stormboyz w/ Zagstruk
Warlord Trait: Target Priority (Preferred enemy for units within 3 inches of an objective)

We decided it would be hilarious and a good story line to do the Relic senario and make everyone carry around the gigantic bronze statue. We also agreed to give the "Imperial Statuary" rules to it (fearless to all imperial forces within 3" and a 3+ save for models obscured). Rolled Vanguard Strike for Deployment and Orks won the roll off for deploying first. Blood Angels got close, but failed to steal initiative (rolled a 5). Originally wasn't going to take photos, since I only had my phone so sadly there is no deployment shot.

(Basic shot at the end of turn 1 with both our units moving up. Most of Turn 1 was ineffective shooting. I think a single deathcompany dude bites the dust, he forgot that he shouldn't feel pain. Forgot to shoot my 20 shoota boyz in the battlewagon...go me!)

(Another shot of the end of turn 1. As you can see, my lootas are in a prime location for shooting his death company to death....I should point out that my lootas underperformed most of the game with rolls of 1's or 2's for amounts of shots.)

(A really blurry image of the bloodbath between Mad Doc's 'ard boyz and the Sanguinarian Guard on Turn 2.Dante went up against the powerklawed Nob and dealt a non-lethal blow. Nob still had enough strength to squish the puny 'ummie! The brawl pretty much lasted up till turn 4 with us slowly whittling away at eachother.)

Turn 2 also ended for the orks with Lootas and Shoota Boyz taking out Lemartes and all but 2 of the Death Company. Who then joined the battle of the fallen trees where Mad Doc was seen frolicking through the forest with glee. (Lemartes was later spotted in a landraider taking a nap).

End of Turn 2 for Blood Angels saw the explosion of the shoota boyz battlewagon (6 ork deaths from the raining shrapnel) caused by one of the Tac Squads with a powerfist. Also the second Tac squad acquired the Relic!

(Turn three started with Zagstruk and his Stormboyz deepstriking in and deviating too close to the Blood Angels. Barily under an inch, but enough to mishap. Delayed Arrival until turn 4. Shoota Boyz have a chance to shoot and assault the Tac Squad that crushed their beloved battlewagon. Marines end up being overrun by the shootas and die by the green tide. Shoota Boyz get 5 inches for consolidation).

(Enter Baal Predator with perfect line of sight on all those helpless lootas. 6 of the 12 remain alive...and manage to pass their weakened moral with a 7, thus avoiding plumeting to their death.

(Mad Doc and Boyz finish up the Sanguinary Guard and Deathcompany. Consolidate 2 inches. Also Tac squad start moving away from the sea of green using the relic as cover.)

(Top of Turn 4, Zagstruk and Stormboyz Arrive. Deffkoptas arrive. Mad Doc is blood-crazed and declares a Waghhhhhh!!! Which fails terribly and no one makes it into combat.)

(Baal Predator decides to ignore the ineffective lootas and focus on more immediate threat...shootas.)

(Baal moves up and kills 4 shoota boyz forcing a moral which they fail and fall back 8 inches.)

(Top of 5 turns hairy for the remaining Tac Squad as they try to retreat while still holding the relic. Stormboyz move into assault range, deffkoptas turbo boost, Mad Doc and co move up, Shootas regroup and move their 3. Baal ends up wrecked by those pesky lootas who strangely decide that they've been conserving their ammo too much this game and unlease three shots each for once.)

(Stormboyz easily assault the squad and slay all but 1.)

(One remaining marine breaks and runs for it 8 inches, Zagstruk and Stormboyz on his tail! GAME ENDS.)

In all I think it was a fun game with 2 5ed armies and while we both forgot some stuff that would help out such as using the warlord trait in my case, it was still enjoyable.
