... That's interesting.
It should be. If BS has nothing to do with how they hit, they should still hit on 2+. Could you quote the rule in its entirety?

I thought things that don't require a BS to shoot cannot snap shoot - and therefore shoot at flyers - at all?

If it does not use BS it cannot be Snap Fired and therefore cannot target a Hard To Hit model. In a friendly game, however, I'd allow it.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Sorry - i was actualyl playing the game when i posted and forgot to check back. The situation was that my opponents Skullhamma superheavy tank has "Super Rokkits" whcih are grot guided (codex states that grto guided = "always hit a 2+". We agreed that because this is not technically BS thatthe tank coudl not hit flyers with it S8 missiles on a 2+. HOWEVER - his FW Fighta-Bomma also had them. As these were mounted on a flyer and therefore dont need to snapfire we said that flyer mounted ones CAN hit other flyers on a 2+. Seemed fair. We were quite surprised that this wasn't in any of the FAQs.

Well FW hasn't updated all of their stuff for 6th yet have they? Maybe that's why.

Exactly - we checked the FW 6th edition vehicle updte and the 6th edition Apoc updte - nothing.
I'm hoping they address it in the new "official" apoc book when they comes out.

Fluffwise, I think it makes perfect sense for grot-guided munitions to hit flyers on 2+. But because of the "No BS = no snap fire" rule it won't currently work unless you house rule it.
