Hi guys,

I just finished my Mephiston conversion and wanted to get it out there to the public. I sculpted the skirt, cloak, some of the parchment, and the sword all from scratch, and used the models of Astorath's body and The Sanguinor's arms. Wasn't too bad once I really got the greenstuff moving around. It was my first sculpting project that I wanted to look really professional. It was for a commission, so I cannot take anymore pictures (I don't have it!).

Hope you all enjoy!

Wow! How has no-one commented on this yet? Overall, it's a relatively simple conversion that has come out brilliantly with your splendid painting skills. Despite the fact that the model is primarily monochromatic (red), you have made it so that that does not detract from the model; something that is quite difficult to achieve. The fading power effect on the sword is wonderfully done and does an excellent job of portraying the inherent energy in the weapon. The basing is interesting enough to be worth noting while not being too distracting from the centerpiece. Overall, a quality model that deserves a lot of praise. Well done!

Pretty much what Darth Bob said... That is probably my favorite Mephiston conversion.

as a psyker he should have a psychic hood though hehe but that doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the model

Darth Bob: Now that's a nice compliment! Glad to please!

Requiem: Note taken. That seems to be the major flaw here. It's strange because I did sculpt psychic hoods on some other Librarians at the same time. :-\

Lovely conversion mate
The GS is really well done. I especially like the black-to-red fade on his coat.

WOW! It's really nice. You should be very proud.

I don't think the lack of a psychic hood really matters. Who cares. I would guess Mephiston is badass enough that he can squash enemy psychic powers with a mere thought!

I love everything but the skirt... why is he wearing a skirt exactly?

i think maybe a loincloth would have been better.

@kb305 Upon further glance, I think I should have probably taken some artistic liberties.
