So my friend wants to start playing Orks and we most often play with 1750p and even thou I play Orks alittle myself I thought that I might ask dakka for some help in giving my friend a good list.
So any tips on what to buy for a 1750p Ork list are most welcome, he only own a single box of lootas atm so its basiclly anything goes

Myself im thinking something around Lootas and maybe a Dakkajet or 2 but thats as far as I got.

Mhm, what kind of orks do your friend prefer? Shooty? Footsloggin'? (greentide) Wagonrusha? Speed freaks? HIT EM HARD lists?

Very well here's a quickie i made for a orky shooty list (DA ORKY WAY)

HQ: 1x big mek with Kustom force field and cybork body. 95p
1x Warboss: Warbike, kombi skorcha, attack squig, powerklaw, cybork body & Bosspole. 160p

Ellite: 2x 10 lootas. 150p 150p

Troop: 3x 30 shootas (including 3 big shoota boyz 1 group w/ a nob with powerklaw bosspole the other two with big choppa) 235p 210p 210p

Nob bikers: 4 nobz with cybork body big choppa, 1 nob with powerklaw, cybork body & waagh banner. 1 Painboy with cybork body. 390p

Gretchin 10x 40p
Aegies defence with quad gun. 100p


And there we go the shooty random orky way you can allways mix this up and skip the nobz for dakkajets or what ever you prefer!

I'd swap Quad Gun for Lascannon, because that thing can actually do a decent job against Armour 14. Maybe drop Nob Bikers and put some kind of Big Guns, grab Ammo Runts for them, and use them to fire the lascannon with re-rolls to hit!

Well i basicly made it the most dakka
i added the nob bikers for abit kick with both allot of assault 3 shots that's TL'd and good at fighting in Close combat. but as said this is just a fast thing i made on the spot you can convert it in ANY way you want. but orks be best at having several things (well not too much mixed but a small mix works well!)

Simply run the battlewagon up front, with it's av 14 goddies and the kff to protect it, keep footslog boys at least with 1 boy in range of the kff, then park everything else in cover. This list has 3 ap3 large blasts (battlewagon a s7 24", looted at s8 36", then all the lootas with their 48" s7 goodness, and the big mek with his 2d6 ap2 pieplate at 60, and his unit is even scoring. When orks outrange and outshoot tau, engange trollface.
