Hey mates, with it looking that I wont be able to run my Henchman army due to the lack of models and a foul-up with the postal service, I am forced to switch my list around to try out someting new. After borrowing a friends GK army, I cam up with a list that I feel can be competitive and pretty good against all opponents so without further ado here is my list so tell me what you guys think.

* Grand Master Mordrak

*Inquisitor Coteaz:

*(6x) GK Terminators: (w/Mordrak)
-w/Justicar w/Demon Hammer, 1x Terminator w/Psycannon, NFS, 1x Terminator w/Brotherhood Banner, 3x Terminators w/SB, NFS, Psybolt Ammo.

*(10x) Warrior Acolytes:
-w/3x Plasma, 7x Bolters, Flak Armor

*(10x) Warrior Acolytes:
-w/3x Plasma, 7x Bolters, Flak Armor

*Aegis Defense Line:
-w/Quad-Gun

*(6x) Interceptors:
-w/1x Justicar w/Master-Crafted Demon Hammer, 1x Interceptor w/Incinerator, 4x Interceptors w/SB, NFS.

*(6x) Interceptors:
-w/1x Justicar w/Master-Crafted Demon Hammer, 1x Interceptor w/Incinerator, 4x Interceptors w/SB, NFS.

Total: 1246 points

Pretty straight forward, plan is to have the Henchman Squads w/Coteaz stay behind the Aegis Defense Line, while the Interceptors get in close as soon as they can. The Terminators will be with Mordak, and deep strike the first turn to try and mx things up a bit, however I am tempted to drp some points in favor of running a full 10x Man terminator squad with him to make it more effective. Thoughts?

First of all, Mordrak isn't an IC, so he can't join squads. So if you're bringing Mordrak you should get some Ghost Knights.
I'm a fan of interceptors, but see them more of a support role. They are quite squishy and with only those terminators up front they will take a beating quite fast. Maybe the Henchmen need to move up aswell? Get them a transport, atleast to one of the squads. Also, you might need some more firesupport. I'd recommend the Psyfleman dreadnought, one to join the henchmen who stay back at the aegis.
Just some general thoughts Hope it helps!

Few things to consider

1) Interceptors

Scoring interceptors with Grand Strategy are simply unfair. they are very mobile and can make game winning plays with their shunt moves.

However, giving them incinerators means that they have to get close to the enemy. if they are close they can get tied up in combat, which takes away their best asset: Mobility

I would rather see interceptors with Psycannons. They can play a great game of keep away, drawing enemy units out of position, away from objectives, and then make a shunt to dodge the enemy and take an objective.

2) Botherhood banners and Psybolt ammo are only for 10 man units. Otherwise they are not really worth the points.

3) Plasmagun henchmen are a little fragile to be running around on foot. Low LD and Low survivability is not good for a close range foot slogger like that. They will take significant loses befre they can get into range to do much. Long range henchmen on foot fare a little better.

Consider Chimeras if you want to go full mech for your list, or consider dropping or changing the henchmen to be a more long range role.

Nerwind is right. The good news is, you can use Terminators to represent Ghost Knights. The bad news is, they can only be 5 man squads and cannot take any upgrades except halberds, hammers, falchions, and banners.

And two troop choices is not enough at 1250. You need one or two more.

Pretty simple for the most part, as I am just switching out the Terminator Squad w/a 2nd Nemesis Dreadknight, which I feel can become very nasty if things work out.

couple of things to think about

1) Aegis line

It already has a re-roll to hit, you are not making the most of Coteaz's spells by having him join that unit. He could join a melta henchmen unit or the terminators.

Also, give the henchmen on the Aegis line plasmaguns. Same price, but has more range.

2) Terminators Vs. a second knight

It really just depends on the scenarios you will see. How much will you need another strong scoring unit vs. a dangerous and mobile Monster?

Personally, I like the 2x Nemesis Dreadknights over the Terminator Squad. Although the Terminators are an awesome scoring unit, having two Dreadknights on the field at the same time is just nasty, especially at this point level. Not many armies will have the ability to deal with 2x of them for the most part, and since they both have personal teleporters, armies like IG and Tau who hide behind Aegis Defense Lines are going to feel the sting turn 1. Besides that, I like the list, and Coteaz behind the Aegis Defense Line is a good move in my opinion, as it will keep him alive a lot more effective then being in a Chimera Squad.

Orks Waaaghmacht Spearhead 2500pts.
