I'd agree, i think my 2 suit units with PR/TL MP would work pretty good against most enemies, Going pure missiles would make me lack MEQ killing power and going pure PR would make me less likely to remove Armour with only S6. Having a balance I believe means that you can choose a priority target, rather than being forced to a particular target.

Looking at Dual MP suits, they are the best all round choice for me, A squad of 3 pumps out 12 Shots which combined with MLs can hit on a 2+, that's going to hurt anything let alone Light Armour! I think combined with a Skyray it would also make good Anti Flyer as the Skyray's MLs can be used to raise the BS of a Crisis unit, which is good if you currently have a skyray in your list or you don't want to buy VTs on every unit.

In my list I've made a Crisis unit with each suit having a Fusion Blaster and 2 Missile Pods, which go with my commander who has a puretide chip, early on in the game they can wreak havoc on light armour/heavy infantry until they get close enough to damage heavier armour with the FB.

And lets be honest, 8-9 Wounds against horde isn't bad either, it's roughly the same as a 10 man FW Squad, showing that the suits have good versatility.

How has this worked out? I had this idea myself since I play against alot of mech lists so I'm curious to see if it's a worthwhile option.

Haven't had the chance to use it yet But Mathammer Wise it seems like a good choice, I can't see much of a reason not to take it, other than points cost.

MTs only allow you to fire 2 weapons in the shooting phase, however Riptides are allowed as they are monstrous creatures, and hence can fire two weapons as standard.

How do you think these Loadouts look in my 1850 list?

Commander 182
2 Plasma Rifles, Shield Generator, Iridium Armour, Puretide Chip, Neuroweb Jammer

XV8 Crisis Team 225
3 Battlesuits each armed with a Plasma Rifle and 2 Missile Pods, 2 Shield Drones

XV8 Crisis Team 225
3 Battlesuits, each armed with Fusion Blasters and 2 Missile Pods, 2 Shield Drones

XV8 Crisis Team 225
3 Battlesuits each armed with Fusion Blasters and 2 Missile Pods, 2 Shield Drones

I like the Idea of having 36 Missile Pod Shots early on (12 of which can have Tank Hunters) and can then switch to the other weapon if needed, but is it too expensive? What are your thoughts?

What I might do is swap things round a bit by giving my commander 2 Fusion and having 1 Fusion Crisis Team and 2 Plasma
Crisis Teams.

Yeah, you are probably right, I could probably get a couple of Fusion Piranhas or Crisis Bodyguard instead, Even an Ionhead would be a better choice, thanks for your input.
