1500 drop pod list

HQ
100 runepreist (divination)

Elites
150 (5 WG, 5 combi,Pod)

Troops

208 (8 GH, melta, Standad, WG TDA/Combi melta/PA, Pod)

208 (8 GH, melta, Standad, WG TDA/Combi melta/PA, Pod)

195 (10 GH, 2 plasma, Pod)

195 (10 GH, 2 plasma, Pod)

Heavy Support

203 6 x LF (5 ML) + TDA/CML WG

120 predator AC/Las Sponsors

120 predator AC/Las Sponsors

Tactics

Runepriest joins longfangs for 7 twinlinked missiles, also good for flyer hunting cause in that point cap i dont think ill face too many of them. I chose predators over longfangs for my other heavy support slots cause they are cheap for two lascannon and two S7 ap4 shots not static like LF. The melta pods and the WG pod come in first turn, ithink ill use combi plasma to evaporate a MC or another huge target, the meltas will heat velicles and i put TDA WG for extra survavability with the Wolf standard combo. The other support plasma pods come in the following turns where needed.

I would change the weapons in the GH the 2 10man squad will have the melta and the others the plasma because the tda if you played well will keep your men alive and in a game the melts will be only once in range but the plasma always. about the predators I m not sure perhaps with aegis to give them 4+ yes .I prefer foots than shells for space wolves

The melta squads next turn from when they arrive, they will get assaulted so i want them to hold as long as possible until backup arrives.

The predators are pretty good deal if you want the lascannons and AV13 is not breached easily.

the game now has go from mech to inf so plasma is better and yes 13 is good but not unbreakable

aegis would be good for my preds to get some 4+ cover but i think ill manage to find a ruin to get behind it, cause i have no spare points for fortifications

I don't think you need the CML wolf guard with your Long Fangs. And frankly I think that the predators are under powered for their points. Look at it this way; you could trade in both predators and your CML WG model to get 12 more long fangs with 10 more Missile Launchers and still have 23 points left over.

What is better; 10 Krak missiles per turn on 12 models? Or 4 Lascannons, 2 autocannons and 2 krak missiles on 3 models?

In fact, I think you'd be best off just dropping ALL of the wolf guard, making your melta squads 10 man and grabbing another 10 man melta GH unit with a pod. It's going to be really difficult for your opponent to kill 30 grey hunters in one turn.

EDIT : Spelling.

Try this:
Spoiler:

Rune Priest (100)

10 GH + 2xMeltaguns, Standard, Drop Pod (200)
10 GH + 2xMeltaguns, Standard, Drop Pod (200)
10 GH + 2xMeltaguns, Standard, Drop Pod (200)
10 GH + 2xPlasmaguns, Drop Pod (195)
10 GH + 2xPlasmaguns, Drop Pod (195)

6 LF + 5 ML (140)
6 LF + 5 ML (140)

ADL + Quad Gun (100)

Total 1470 points.

first of all thnx for feedback. The wolf guard are there to kill huge opponets such as nemesis dreadknights, how are you gonna kill one or two of them with that list you posted you ll get slaughtered and the missiles don't even scratch him. I need the lascannons as insurance for hitting that extra wound or that extra punch in a vehicle and the preds are better than longfangs for that purpose cause the lascannon in the LF is very expensive. Also i think you are more versatile with 7 TL krak/frag, 4 Las and 4 S7 ap4 shots than 15 krak. The WG in the pods are for the wolfstandard combo. The time they ll arrive theyll get assaulted and they have a lot more chances to survive with a TDA WG pack leader.

If your playing 1500 I would use the remianing points to put standards with the plasma hunter squads as well. Rerolling ones on plasma will mean almost no over heats and most likely all hits.

I really wouldn't expect your wolf guard to stand up to a nemesis dreadknight. But I do think that Meltaguns will at least hurt the dreadknight if you're so worried about it. Furthermore, if something like a dreadknight wants to pick on one squad of hunters, you've still got 40 more dudes in power armor that he'll be ignoring. I'm not saying that the wolf guard are bad necessarily, I'm just saying that you'll get MORE stuff without them.

The predators do have the lascannons, but they can also be killed with a single shot. Long Fangs are more resilient. If you want, you have 30 points to spare which is enough to upgrade two missile launchers to lascannons. And you could even down grade the ADL's quad gun to an Icarus Lascannon which could be used to shoot Dreadknights AND flyers. That would save you another 15 points which you could spend on another long fang lascannon since you prefer them.

Taking a look at the armies at Adepticon 2013 that the top 16 players used tells me that for a COMPETITIVE list, you'll need to worry a lot more about Necrons and CSM (read Flyers and Helldrakes) than you will need to worry about Grey Knights. Of course, your meta may vary.

This is sound advice. Another possibility is to trade the Rune Priest for a Wolf Priest and then put him with a squad. Preferred Enemy then lets you reroll some 1's every turn instead of just one assault phase per game. Of course the obvious downside is that without the rune priest, you have no psychic defense and no divination and so on, but .... your meta may vary.

Ive been considering the wolf priest myself as his bonus is all game and stealth is even a nice bonus. But In my meta theres been a significant increase in psykers lately and rune priest seems like a mandatory choice for me unless I bring a great amount of firepower to counter which hasnt proved effective. But a cheaper route would be significant damage turn 1 with the pods using the standards but having 1 squad with the priest and plasma hunters isnt a bad choice either.
