Hiya, just started getting into this whole wargaming thing. Building my first army and chose to surf the green tide. Would like some comments and criticism on my planned roster.

HQ:
Big Mek with KFF
Elites:
Lootas x4 + Mek w/ KMB
Troops:
11 Slugga Boyz w/ Trukk (Paint job, wreckin' ball), Nob with PK and BP
20 Shoota Boyz (2 w/ Big Shoota), Nob with PK and BP

Is this viable?

The KMB is a waste of a deffgun in the lootas. Trukk boyz are best when there are multiples. One trukk is cake, two are threatening and three are very scary (at 500 points at least).

I vote for loota over kmb Mek. Big shoota Mek better IMO because 3 36" precision shots a turn

Alright, the Mek's going. Now I just have to figure out how to build a fifth deffgun. \o/

I convert my shootas by cutting off the barrel and adding a 7 barrel mini gun on end. I figure a gatlin gun/mini gun could get D3 shots a turn.

Lol, very nice man. I do the same sorta thing - just glue various guns together and then throw them on some spare Orks. As long as the resulting mess is big enough it'll make for fine Lootas
