Tomorrow I'm gonna play 3 games against my enemy/friend who's playing IG or possibly GK (but unlikely). 1000, 1500 and 2000 points. The first one is a no proxy game, other is a more competetive one. I'd like the last one to be a fun one. (no matter whether my opponent wants it or not )
Also at the same time I want to test things I haven't used yet, before the new dex comes.

List
Spoiler:
Eldar
1 Eldrad Ulthran (HQ) @ 210 Pts

9 Harlequin Troupe (Elites) @ 250 Pts
Harlequin's Kiss (x9)
1 Shadowseer @ [52] Pts

1 Exarch @ [53] Pts

Tau allies
1 Shadowsun

19 Kroots
1 Shaper
7 Kroot Hounds
3 Kroot Riders

Special Tactics
Spoiler:

Everything apart outflanking Kroots either has 2+ cover save or isn't on the board.
Wraithguard with Shadowsun infiltrate (deploy 18" from the enemy). Thanks to Shadowsun and conceal entire squad has 2+ cover save.
Behind them deploy Harlequins with Eldrad. They have 2+ cover save thanks to the Wraithguard standing before them. On the first turn Eldrad joins Wraithguard. If he deploys with them they sadly can't infiltrate. (correct me if I'm wrong)
Pathfinders hold home objectives and have 2+ cover save.
Swooping Hawks depending on the situation either go back to reserves or go for a little tank hunting.
Eldrad fortunes both Harlequins and Wraithguard.

Anti Horde
-Swooping Hawks (3 large blasts)
-Outflanking Kroots
-Harlequins

Anti Tank
-Wraithguard
-Swooping Hawks
-Harlequins
-Kroot Riders ?

Anti Air
Guided Wraithguards with Shadowsun statistically should destroy 1 Vendetta during 1 turn of shooting. That's all.
I hope he doesn't bring much air.

Somehow it seems as if there was actually a strong synergy in this list. At first I just put units that I either hadn't played before (Swooping Hawks and Pathfinders) or just played once (Wraithguard) but than this idea came to my mind after reading Tau dex. To use a Shadowsun.

I'd gladly like to hear your opinions on this list.

The Twilight Zone

This is very troll. You don't have much killing power, and against any IG mech you are screwed, but it does seem to be a pain to kill...

Unless they bring a hellhound, or any flamer units.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

That's what I fear. But I don't think he's gonna bring more than 3 so I should be OK.

That was also my first impression but everything apart from Pathfinders can, to some extent, handle mech. I just don't know how efective Swooping Hawks really are.

You can troll harder at lower point caps i.e. 1500 with a very similar list. This list will just get destroyed at 2k with double FoC.

...that big sanction stamp of APPROVAL means it's OFFICIAL. No, I don't have to ask you for permission. D-cannons win games.

Regardless of how competitive it is, it sounds like a fun game to play/watch.

He wanted to play a 1850 points game. I asked him to get some aditional equipment to make it a 1880 points game so I could just kick 1 Pathfinder unit.
My opponent brought: 2 CCS w/ flamers, 2PCS w/ meltas, 2 40 or 50 man blobs with ACs and power axes, Marbo, 2 Vendettas, 2 Manticores and this psychic battle squad (he wanted to test them), Aegis Defence Line.

As Dr/ Serling said I didn't have much killing power but my staying power made up for it. All these melta/lascannon/autocannon/manticore shots only killed ~5 Harlequins, 2 Wraithguard and 2 Pathfiners before I got to combat.
Harlequins charged one blob which was thinned by Swooping Hawk's blasts. He made a mistake and sent his comissar to combat. After I killed him I overrun whole blob and than got shot by his flamers.
Wraithguards ate 1 vendetta, PCS squad, Chimera, Marbo, some other minor things but they mainly took the pain. A lot of pain.
Swooping Hawks apart from killing a bunch of Guardsmen didn't do much.
Pathfiners didn't do much.
Kroots outflanked. Riders took down a Manticore and than were flamered/hit by the other Manticore. Those sneaky 5 man squads with 4 flamers.

At the end of turn 4 about 5/6 Wraithguards were around 6 inches from 2 objectives (so they could contest both of them or even possibly control 1) and the third one was being controlled by Pathfinners.
His other blob was on the other half of the board. He conceded.

Well, he's still learning how to play his army because just recently he stopped playing GK and started building an IG army. He also said that next time he'll bring a Hellhound.

1 question: Can Shadowsun leave his squad and join them in the assault phase using his jetpack move?

Wraithguard warlock requires the spiritseer upgrade for the unit to count as troops.

So far the effectiveness of 10 Wraithblades with Ghost Axes:
Tanked 2 Leman Russ squadrons (including the battle cannons and the triple plasma variant); whilst also getting wailed on by everything imaginable in a Fortress of Redemption. Only to get into CC with the tanks and open them up.
2000 points worth of Necrons with Forgeworld additions. Got into CC with a court of Lords and opened them up.
Killed a GUO.
Killed Angrath the Gargantuan Bloodthirster in an Apoc game (with the help of Iranna the Spirit Seer).
Ate a Hammerhead, pathfinders and scored after 3 turns of walking towards a 2000 point Tau gunline and overwatch!
And counting............

Well, the list is not even semi-competitive.

Totally forgot about that.

Generally speaking my opponent didn't have right tools to deal with this list and (judging from his face every time i passed all my saves) he was a little bit frustrated.
I probably won't use this list ever again. Not only isn't it fun for both sides but also, as wuestenfux said, it isn't competetive enough to bring it to a tournament.
