SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A citizen with a gun stored it in a box Friday evening.

Police say the gun-storing man placed the gun into the box around 7:30pm, following a trip to the gun range. "It's just sitting there", one officer said, as the gun sat in the box and did nothing.

So far police have not named any suspects in this horrible incident, but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Posted since every time a gun does something it's a news-worthy event.
