Does Dark Communication do anything anymore??

My reading of new Deamons 'dex is there's no such thing as deamonic gifts anymore.

They seem to have renamed gifts to rewards for no real reason to ruin this power...

Can anyone clarify/clear or add anything?

Dark EXcommunication seems to work on nearly everything you can buy for Daemons, as most of their upgrades and weapons are in a big section headed "Daemonic Gifts", starting on page 61 of the codex.

Fret not; DE is therefore just as broken and unfair as it ever was. Possible moreso.

Also when you look at the unit entries at the front you will see that most units still have a gift or two listed. Hellblades on bloodletters for example.
