What do you guys use for heavy support. Everything is on foot so if I used the three heavy slots for armor as Im lacking long range be a bad Idea? Was thinking a forgefiend and 2 predators

Vindicators while suckish on their own, can work wonders if tripled up.

Well, one vindicator will probably do nothing but die hilariously. Three vindicators is going to make your opponent devote inordinate amounts of stuff to try and stop them because if they don't they will almost certainly get multiple demolisher cannon pieplates all up in their grill.

So... my point is still there.
Redundancy, FTW!.
I can just imagine a player going "blerry pie plates" when you run this.

Still had nothing on the nine LRD charge I saw a few times before. Not good at any game that requires taking objectives but watching the sheer destruction all those demolisher cannons put out was amazing.

Actually I would say go the way of target denial and leave the armor at home. Oblis can walk up with the other parts of your army and can shoot LCs and MMs the whole time till they get in range for the other guns.
|
Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too! |

The standard table is 72" x 48" so if you deploy on the long edges and put the oblis at the border of your deployment zone you can reach the enemy's edge with the MM in turn 2. So yes as long as you don't have to use it the whole game the range of the Multimelta is enough for the most things and if you don't have a vehicle in range in turn 2 just use the AC against infantry.

This is so easy.
2 Squads of autocannon havocs and 1 squad of MoN oblits.
I run an all foot army and think this is a great heavy support section. I'd still take it even in a mech army. (Unless I had to have armour sat).
It's just so much shooting power and versitility
