Well hello there people of the internet, and thank you for stopping by. I am a newblet to the game, always watching people play and never really taking the plunge into the game. I am a fan of the look of the models, but find myself torn between Orks and Eldar and don't know which way I should go on there. I like the slapped together feel of the Orks, but don't know if Eldar would be better for starting out, and decided to join a forum to get to know things about the game. I have tried out a couple of other websites, but didn't really enjoy the look and feel of them, so decided to come here and see how the people are while getting started and picking up a few pointers from people online (plus I love the word Dakka in the ork codex, and a forum with that as their name can't be half bad).

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome! Greenskins are rough and ready and easy to use if you are über aggressive . Eldar have very specialized units that require balancing and integration, so the best army for you depends on your preferred style of play.

May the dice be with you!

Thank you Arctic, that pretty much helps me make up my mind. I guess the next question is where would I go here for Ork-specific advice?

The 40k tactics section is what you want for general tactical advice, the Army Lists section is where you can get some feedback on potential army lists and You Make Da Call (YMDC) is for clarifying rules disputes.

Also welcome
