Probably no, as it's still a one-shot upgrade that's far from reliable. They were ok to begin with, but Skyfire and Interceptor just seem like silly rules additions.

If anything that's too powerful. My friend has played the alpha strike tau mech very sucesfuly for years. The last couple of years have been tough, but he neverEVER feared razorspam. He just grinned like a wolf & ate a marine army for lunch. With plenty of seeker missles he was willing to launch the one shot points equivelant of a fw if it gauranteed there was no enemy army by turn 2, not even turn 1 if he went first.

I've seen plenty of marine lists with dakka preds, dual vindis & ironclads. Your talking bs4 str8 spread out all over the board. That means it would be hard to get rid of all that AA, & you'd probably get a lot of rear & side shots. That's 3-4 vehicles, with as many or more missles. That with an adl & you'd never need your own flyers.

I do agree that the HK needs some work. I think just skyfire would be good for 10 points. For those of us who can't/wont get a flyer for whatever reason it means we could just get an adl & some HKs & be fine

For their current cost? Hell yeah.

A one shot Interceptor Skyfire Krak missile at BS4. Awesome.
