Cubicle 7 Entertainment will publish Lone Wolf Roleplaying Games and detailed color maps of the Lone Wolf homeworld, Magnamund, Cubicle 7 and Lone Wolf developer Joe Dever announced Friday. Lone Wolf is a series of 28 gamebooks created by Dever and released beginning July 1984. Since that time the full run has sold over 9 million copies worldwide.

Recently Mongoose had been releasing the series, and completed publishing the first 17 volumes. German publisher Montikore-Verlag now has the rights. Mongoose also released a d20-style roleplaying game based on the series.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I have books 1-23 of the Lone Wolf series, a handful of the Legends of Lone Wolf novels, and the BRB for the Mongoose d20 Lone Wolf Game.

My ONLY regret in life is letting go of my Magnamund Companion when I was younger. *sad face*

I saw the Hardback Lone Wolf "choose your own adventure" books at GenCon last year and was impressed with the quality.

I have/had books 1-3 from the Mongoose imprint. I also have most of the books from the multiplayer RPG (sounds weird describing a table top RPG that way) Mongoose published -- but they are not d20-based AFAIK. As I recall, they are based on the same system as used in the single-player books.

Here's my review of Book 1 of Mongoose's run: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/341881.page

I hope they do a reprint of the Companion. Looked to be a great book.
