Ok so i am in the thinking of building a new army, right now i play Orks as some of you might know from recent posts. One of the things i did when i started orks and spent a bunch of money on units That I probably will never field or if i do not nearly as many as i got.. I would love to avoid this costly blunder again.. I am interested in a tournament play list of Chaos marines to kinda point me in the right direction. I am not 100% sure that this will be the way i go, I am also Interested in the Imperial Guard So any advice on them would be great too!

well it al depends on your play style, i would recommend make a list and just ask around and see if it works, then buy it

but ig usually sits back and attacks

chaos usually charges forward and attacks

there is also the forgeworld renegade ig chaos army

I would mainboard ig and ally csm so you get a winged dp with mace, 10 csm with 2 spec weapons in a rhino, heldrake, 3 oblits or Plasma fiend.

you can try to trick opponents by telling them you play guard with csm allies but put all the points in csm or vice versa.

If you ally guard you can take the amazing vendetta squadron, leman russ battle tank squadron, what ever squadron.

Well I main Orks right now, so i am looking for something different then them. I worry about how good IG would be against a Deepstrike unit. But I guess everyone has to find that happy medium.
