Did anyone noticed faeit212 and other sites are gone?

i dont know which other sites or the reason. If there is a thread or more info please post.

There's a news and rumors section of this forum which you should check out - you actually had to scroll past it to get here!

It's because of copyright infringement. Faeit kept posting scans of unreleased White Dwarf issues and GW brought the hammer down on them for it. I can't blame them, honestly.

That's why the Mods here are extra careful with posting leaked information and actual rules/stats.

Not that it really matters, since GW's legal threats are not based on any actual law. No amount of mod caution will do anything if GW decides they're tired of having independent fan sites exist.

To be honest, I am surprised faeit212 lasted as long as it did, other sites have been taken down for a lot less (from a games workshop viewpoint.)

Exactly. I'd like to see GW make threatening remarks towards basically any website hosted in the US. Any sufficiently savvy website without a horde of blatantly copyrighted material could just give GW the finger and be done with it.

Unless, of course, Blogspot pointlessly freaks out about it...
