Honestly the T-45 should be 3+ , it is in fallout lore being shown to be less durable then T-51 power armor , so perhaps have the simple squads having T-45 and a select "elite" group like Lyons pride armed with t-51 ,

Format of this codex seems weird, but the concept of it seems pretty cool.

I'm thinking change the T-45d armor to 3+ armor since you have to re-roll to get the 3+ anyway. The BS of the knight-captain and all paladin squads should be 4. Also the Sentry bots should be elites/HS, they aren't that fast. Paladins should only have T-51B, and be only elite choices; main reason for this is knights are the primary fighting force, with the paladins being an elite reserve force. With that in mind, you can have an initiate squad with recon armor and a lasersight to paint targets for robots or verti-birds. Knights should be your main troops and have T-45d.

Your initial pdf looks also pretty lacking in art/pictures. I could do some of this, since i've found some pictures and have a good understanding of the BoS. Will this codex be a FO 40k crossover or a single codex for a FO TTG?

Whoops just re read that , I do support the idea of re-roll able 3+ armor saves but I do not think that they should have immunity to AP 3 weapons fire , The T-45d is extremely resistant to small arms ( lasers , conventional ballistics ect.) But I would almost be certain that a shaped Charge or standard missile launcher would turn him into dog food . A suggestion I have is maybe have multiple variants of the Verti-Bird , maybe have your gunship variant have a profile similar to this

As well as introducing a different unit with " Target Designators "

Initiate Squad - x amount of points ( 10 initiates )

Equipment - Target Designator ( acts as marker light ) , Sub Machine guns , Frag grenades , HE grenades ( act as krak )

Special rules -
" Dedicated to the Cause " - Upon indoctrination into the brotherhood the initiates are assigned an art in which they will follow with absolute fervor , they must always have the same cause as the commander ( the arm is the sword , shield things )

Ah , that clears a lot of stuff up in terms of discrepancies . I think I'll write a 2,000 point Brotherhood list in a bit , but back to the original discussion , Reading though this the brotherhood lacks any man portable AP 2 , maybe introduce Plasma rifles , so Paladins may take 1 plasma rifle for every 3 men

Fallout Plasma rifle - S 7 / AP 2 / Assualt 3 18' range ,
Maybe 10 or 15 points a rifle


An armorment I would suggest on the Verti-Birds is Rocket Launchers by default and twin linked mini- guns , generally other gunship class flyers are well armed in there base cost , what you could consider doing is having normal Paladin Squads being Stubborn

You're right! It's a draft, I'm just working with the rules at that moment. I do have pictures of my BoS army that I plan on including.
I hadn't thought of having this as an independent FO game, but it's totally doable.

I can do some fluff writing as well, and try to make a 750 points list since kasrkin's making a 2000 point list. I guess from your answer that this is a 40k crossover, since having to make a raiders, SM and Enclave, NCR & Caesers legion 'dex at this point is really reaching hard. That being said, BoS is the best to make for a 40k crossover.

Actually, this being a 40k crossover opens a new can of worms: will this planet be in the imperium, on the otherside of the galactic core from terra; and will there be chaos there? Since we have savage raiders, they could be secretly worshiping khorne...

Because one B-29 and Vertibird can pretty much win the battle of Hoover Dam.

Although I suppose you can use Liberty Prime as an apocalypse unit. For lulz give him bonuses against the Tau.

Back on the Enclave; one benefit to using the Enclave would be Frank Horrigan as a special character.

I realize this is a balance issue, but the Mini Nuke seems way too weak. It is supposed to blow away literally any target in one shot, with the possibile exception of Deathclaws. Even the 51 model Armor never saves you...

Agreed. I'd rather err on the side of being underpowered than overpowered; the Mini Nuke *does* create a large-blast-sized piece of difficult and dangerous terrain. I figured that a maximum of 4 of those per FOC, seems pretty workable. Thoughts?

B, and OT, but I've been working on some fluff for this, based on the assumption that this is a newly discovered world called Gaia, called earth by the locals. The first people came before the DAoT, and society advanced rapidly, but then the great war occured after the AoS occurred, and society is just recovering from the aftermath of it, post FO: NV. Ill also try to make some combat shot between SMs and BoS guys.

Just noticed something

On the elder, he/she has the option to swap his power fist for a thermal lance for 15 points. He is paying for a worse weapon then his current one. I would swap this around and make him start with a lance and have to upgrade to the fist rather then give him the option to pay for a downgrade

Very cool, I love fallout to death. For 40k purposes I'd really change the gauss rifle's AP to 2 and lose sniper for balance. 1) The army needs it and 2) it makes fluff sense.

Also mr.gutsy uses Plasma Pistols as well as flamers.

I'd also bumb up the number of shots on the gatling laser as it is currently inferior to the minigun comparatively.

Again, just very cool stuff.
